This song gets to the message without reservation. The production is very good as usual from the studios of Kingston. The vocal is strong and the backup vocals compliment the song very well. I would have loved to hear a short solo from one of the members of the band...but that's just me. Has a Morgan Heritage feel to it. Overall a very strong song

This song is totally quality reggae for these days. Not many bands are able to pull this off. Full spectrum with horns, slamming. it's no surprise this is a jamaican band as it has a different vibe then the American reggae. There's no issue with this track as far as I see.

"Blackman"- unlike a lot of tunes in this genres - sounds authentic and credible from the first note to the last. Complex arrangement that still manages to sound transparent throughout the song. Percussion, Brass, Backing vocals, Guitars... everything is flawlessly recorded and mixed. The dynamic field is nicely retained, making the track sound punchy, without squashing the overall level. Very smooth Mix and Mastering. I also like the way the lyrics express pride without feeling the need to diss others. "Blackman" sounds rootsy and contemporary at the same time. Congrats!
