Sittin Here Thinking This is Good....We think this is a very good country Gospel tune. The lyrics: a couple of initial phrases seemed forced but then the song takes off and the words flow very well. The flip to the chorus is great: from shorter staccato phrases to some nice longato appropriate to worship. The lightly syncopated phrase openings are great and the whole chorus sits just write for three-part harmony. Well done! Peace & Love & JOY, Mark LaJOIE! of Living Waters
Review -Sitting Here Thinking, I Worship YouNice harmonizing, very sweet song, spreads joy and gives hope. It's simplicity is what makes it so pure, natural and innocent in your love for God. A very peaceful giving song that gives the listener the joy while its awakens the heart and mind for unity with honoring and worshipping the father. God Bless You and looking forward to hearing more of your praise and worship honorable music.
I love to worship God Awesome!!!!!I really loved the lyrics of this song, it’s very well written. I like the word placement and the harmonies. Me personally I would love to have herd more of the high toned notes to really bring out the backgrounds vocals. But I enjoy listing too and writing this review. Because I really love to worship God. Best of luck to you.....
Another good song from Trevor.I always enjoy listening to and reviewing Trevor's music. I was happy to hear it was up tempo. The tune is catchy and the lyrics are encouraging. Thank you Trevor for sharing another uplifting song.
A praise song you can 2-step toTrevor Toews' recording of "Sittin, Here Thinkin, I Worship You" is a pleasant praise song set to a shuffling beat you can dance a 2-step to. It features Trevor's signature: nice melody, simple chord progression, and simple acoustic instrumentation (guitar, banjo, drums, bass) cleanly played, and Trevor's friendly and accessible lead vocal, dressed up this time with some nice 3-part harmony. The message of the lyrics is mainstream Christian, with a 1950's pop feel, and some nice twists to keep listener interest. On the next to last chorus, the band falls away, leaving just the guitar to accompany the 3-part vocal harmony -- nice touch. Then, in the outro, there is an unexpected twist in the chord progression, just when you thought you had heard it all. Of all of Trevor's tunes I have reviewed so far, I like this one best.
Good songThis song has some good words and it shows that you are singing for the Lord and you just truly worship the Lord. It blessed my heart. Keep on keeping on and singing for the Lord and blessings to you and pray you win many souls for the Lord.
Sittin, Here Thinkin, I Worship YouSimplistic-to the point in lyrically content. Nice arrangement-smooth and I love the pause breaks, harmonies are pretty sweet. This, to me, is the kind of song that you like to hear on a kick-back and relaxing day and just let the melody do it's thing giving comfort and peace as we worship our Lord in song. Nice work! Peace, CBW
Country worshipThat banjo is rocking, love the feel of this one. This is the best chorus I’ve heard from you as far as melody from verse to chorus. You truly have a gift brother, and don’t think I don’t hear those background vocals with the harmony. Praise the Lord!!
NiceHey I love the song I believe we can all relate I believe it’s normal to think that way we all want to be pleasing to the father in anyway possible and yes we will always worship you father in the good and the bad I like the worship part of it as well great song
In MY OpinionGreetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the guitar work and the swing beat. Vocals are smooth and natural. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I enjoyed the entire work .....I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny Dec 13 - 2018
