Great picture painted!Great melancholic and longing melodies and harmonies. Great vocals, I like the voice, singing with passion along with the guitar solo in the third part. I forgot to mention the lovely and nice piano intro, which led to all these emotional patterns wooven together to that handkerchief needed comforting the soul against the emotional loss or lack. Great picture painted!
Why?Strings and panio set mood and your voice seemed to enter as if a dark place. Actually perfect for the message your offering. Guitar sends drama as the background adds color. Enough said... I enjoyed your song.. Magic
Old School Rock BalladThe rhythm is recognizable from a time when these ruled the air waves. This is an old school rock ballad that still captures the spirit, I like the arrangement and this was done well - good job!
Love the piano!Nice intro with the piano. I really like your raspy voice and the words and lyrics are clear. Once the guitar and the feel of the song changes I find myself feeling more impressed to get into the groove of this tune. The arraignment is good and the guitar playing is AWESOME. I was surprised that it ended so quickly. I think you could go a little further with this song adding a climax in the end to give the listener a bit of closer. I know once a song is written, especially when you were 17, sometimes it is difficult to co back in and add to it, but a little finality would really add to this wonderful song. Keep up the good work.
Killer SongI like the 'big' teaser intro! At first I was a little skeptical but I just knew you were about to hit me with something....and you 'did'. Nicely done, Tongue Style! Right between the eyes with that guitar lead coming in on the build up dynamics to lay on the line. You got a rare '5' out of it from me, man! Everything was done just right and you I loved how you just took it out with the lead just kicking ass all the way out the door ending it. CONGRATS on the vamp out! Loved it! Good Luck on your Music Adventure here on N1Music, my friends...... ~ gizzmow, Bonham, Texas
yesydontuluvme review. this song is a strictly Rock piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Rock style as I said everything recalls the Rock genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Rockl piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job
Tongue:Style- ydontuluvme- Reviewed by Eja Slade.A 'bluesy groover', this one. A lovely piano/harmonica intro metamorphises into a powerful, driving rock ballad. And these boys know how to deliver it! I really love the 'gravel' vocals, they don't remind me of anyone else. They are peerless. The band employs standard chord changes, which sometimes can leave the listener bored/indifferent, but that is not the case here. And, of course, the subject matter has been dealt with since time immemorial, but we all need new heroes to remind us why and how it's still being done. Just one thing. I would like to hear the singer stretch himself, just a touch here and there. But when all's said and done, a fine job, guys. Let's hear some more.
Guitars Save This SongNice effort for a song you wrote at 17. One of the things I enjoy about Number One Music is hearing a variety of music I'd never be exposed to otherwise. When I get to hear a song like this, I go in with open ears and no expectations. I think music is tough to do and expect everyone to like it. This song, for me, starts rough with odd choices - like the violin at the beginning. The vocals are not well produced. Only half way through the song when the guitar comes in does the song really pick up any steam for me. Keep making music. Do it for yourself. Best to you.
