Lovely Serenade!

Although it is indicated as "country" and "pop" in categrization, I find elements of smooth jazz and serenade in this song. The smooth, gentle, yet clear and substantial strain of the singing voice is so refined to subtlety, and is very pleasant to listen to. I personally think Ms. Theresa Leoniy could arguably be compared with those great, standard female jazz singers. My kudos for the very authentic-sounding singing prowess! :DDD

Classic country

This is a classic sounding, solid number. Well done on the arrangement - I enjoyed the addition of strings. Strong vocal, but I feel it would benefit from some reverb/EQ. Nice harmonies. It has a lot of potential.

Wonderful

I've reviewed your material before I never have anything negative to say about your uploads because there's nothing negative to say. Your voice is beautiful and this song reminds me of the christmas spirit. Not a christmas song, but the spirit. Very beautiful, soothing, and the kind of music I hear in a department store and cant help but sing along to. This also sounds like a tune that has had its share of awards. I hope you tell me that youve actually made this piece yourself. It fits your vocals, and sounds very professional. I'm impressed. Very beautiful work miss! Keep it up and never stop singing! You are blessed!

For anyone who doesn't know, Slicethepie is a music review site where ordinary members of the public can join up free as a scout (also called reviewer), listen to new songs, and write a short review about the song for a small payment. Each review is just the member's opinion of the song and/or artist. No special musical skill or knowledge is required as the site wants the opinion of the wide general public. In recent years, it has also enabled members to give reviews on fashionable clothes and phone cases, but those are more of a sideline, so this article is only concerned with the music side of Slicethepie and how to write song reviews. As an experienced reviewer on Slicethepie and musician, I wrote this article to advise new scouts on how to write reviews that can be more helpful to the artist, even if they (the reviewers, not the artists) don't have any formal background in music.

You Belong To Me Review

As someone who knows this song well and enjoyed it back then, I appreciate your redoing this song. However, updating the sound is very important to the success of a remake. The strings date the song as well as the drum arrangement. I would STRONGLY suggest, taking a click track and your vocal and hand it to some musicians who stay current and let them rebuild the track. THEN, Re-sing the track to the new arrangement. It will bring life and clarity to the song and your vocal. Another thing to try would be to slow the tempo down, approach it like a jazz remake and let the track breathe with less instrumentation. Would love to hear it again when you make some changes!

Retro Bombshell

When saw Theresa Leoniy's request for another review in my mailbox I had to smile to myself. Theresa has a sound that transcends time, space, and pop culture. She is a true a female vocal diva. The track that she uses for this remake of a popular music classic is pretty okay, but forget about that for a minute and just listen to the vocal quality, style, and delivery of this song. She's so smooth! Her intonation, vocal inflections, and accents are so In sync with the subject matter of this song. It transports the listener back to a time lost but not forgotten. When men were men and women were really women. This sentimental journey is well worth the price of admission. I hope one day she has the resources to do this song with a real orchestra all with a ten foot Steinway Grand Piano to accompany her silky smooth platinum voice. I'd pay whatever the asking price to hear that. I'd encourage Theresa to seek out more of these gems to dust off and sing new life into. Harry Connick Jr. has made a mint doing the male version of this pursuit. Ms. Leoniy could easily do the same. Hey, I'm all ears ;)
