Buena canción

Me ha gustado mucho esta canción. Están muy bien todos los arreglos musicales, sobre todo la guitarra eléctrica y el bajo. También es buena la voz del vocalista y los coros. Te deseo mucha suerte. Saludos!

Blues Themed Storytellng About Life

Paul is a singer songwriter from Bristol, England releasing his heartfelt songs by way of his band bearing the moniker The Fifth. . In "Walk The Night" he brings the story of struggle and dealing with difficulties in the walk of life. His voice is compelling and honest as he passionately tells the tale. It can be a bit dark but soulful along the way. A nicely played echoing blues guitar drones around the story and is very effective in setting the tone. With tortured feelings, and a seemingly endless life, he walks the night in contemplation. The tale projects him with a cursed but eternal life. "Now I will forever walk the night... with only one clear vision in my sight: I have to say- I don't want it that way. But every single person I see is pretending to pray, today and every day". It's a catchy and interesting song with a nice musical foundation including drums, bass, guitar and keyboards as well as strong lead and backing vocals. I look forward to hearing more from this talented artist.

Working Process

I think the artist needs to work more on defining his sound. The idea of the song is alright but the structure needs improvement, it takes too long to reach the chorus. Try to have the second go round shorter than the first and see if the song flows better like that. Also, I feel if the artist is serious about this, he should find a professional producer to help him with the production aspect of the song, because as it is, I must say it sounds like a demo and no more than that.

Extremely interesting!

Lyrics are very intriguing, and the lead guitar has an eerily haunting tone that truly engulfs the message and meaning of the song! Dark and mysterious with just enough upbeat lilt to enliven the listener. You kept me hanging on the edge while waiting for a loud thunderous power-driven, heavy-metal guitar to burst through into a soaring lead and then bring me back to the eerie darkness of walking through the night and a chance meeting with a vampire! Sounds like you are onto something here. Exciting piece of work. Keep it up. I will be checking your page for other tunes. Thanks!

Nicely Done

I have to say that I was very moved to hear your track. I am from a different genre but I appreciate "ALL" good music and yours happen to fall in that category. There is an element of "Old World" in your work that makes it so appealing. Great Job. Keep them coming!..Peace..DLO

Good emotional song for a soundtrack for a film about LIFE and Love ...as you WALK THE NIGHT

Good emotional song for a soundtrack of a film that has VISUAL moments that this could support emotionally as we travel through a journey Visually that helps us experience the characters journey in life...it has that EDGE of Life and emotional support for the Journey ...and it can be a very good reality as the Opening Credits and the closing credits...not all songs have that ability...but this one is a opener and a closer to...and your Vocal is a very romantic haunting style...that gets a smooth heartfelt soul connected...well done...just needs the right film...YEs...it is a Good emotional song for a soundtrack for a film about LIFE and Love ...as you WALK THE NIGHT

A good song by a good voice

Well done! I appreciate a lot the vocal line: your voice is very expressive and well-set. Another positive aspect is about the sound of guitar, smooth and very rich in mid-tones. And this is why I'm going to listen to this song once again... Bravo!

I WALK THE NIGHT

Song builds nicely. Like the piano in the verses. Good space feel in the song. Interesting guitar fills create a good ambience. Cant help feeling reflective after just one listen. I like the vocal delivery. There is good emotion there in the vocal delivery. Good effort. I think the drums could be mixed up in the track to add more dynamics. The song is definitely worthy of a repeat listen. So put this song on high rotation on your playlist.

Affinity

I chose the title of this review specifically because I found it genuinely refreshing listening to a fellow countryman. Not that I have a particular bias, as a lover of all vocal styles and sounds delivered with heart and with something to say. It's the first time I've reviewed music from and Englishman and this made it special for me. That over with, I can go on to say that I highly recommend the song. It's extremely well crafted, the instrumentation suits the mood and reflects the lyrical content. I particularly enjoyed the guitar licks in the verses. The chorus is mighty. all in all en excellent listen. Thanks for posting it. All the best to you in Bristol from me in Berlin, Richard

the fifth

I really like this song, it is very well performed, it has a nice ambiance to it, great vocals too. I like the way it builds up then slows down again and the guitar work sounds just right, in all a very good mix.

What's for dinner?

Serving up some 1980's Meatloaf. You really need a bigger chorus if you are going to make me wait that long for it. I would break those first verses up with a chorus, or work on making the chorus much more climatic. Not really my type of music and the production gives it a real 1980's Berlin "Take My Breath Away" feel, which I am not real big on. Maybe this is just a demo, if that is the case it would be interesting to hear it with a band. If this is a "rock opera" then I would concentrate on the vocal dynamics. Maybe have the song start with more of a "whisper"

I Walk The Night

The Fifth capture the experience of dying and rebirth in the hands of a sexy vampire. Great vocals and arrangement throughout this story. I think the drums are a little lost in the mix but the keyboards and guitars are great and clear. The chorus brings the best part of the song for me with rocking drums and drama in the voice. Overall it's a good song and after the third listen, it grew on me enough to let you know, not to skip past this one.

Greetings ''Number Five'', thankx for asking me for a review of your song - and WOWZER - what a song, absolutely stupendous. This is one hell of a song, really good. What I particularly enjoyed was the very underplayed, musical arrangement, which stayed just ''behind the scenes'' as it were, not in your face or with blistering guitar, but really suitable for this song. Very subtle, but, it fits like a glove. The vocals are also hugely good, and brilliantly in key throughout. I'm reminded of Roger Chapman here. The slight timbre changes on the vocals when the increase in tempo comes is also seriously well done. The harmonies are also nice and to the point, they don't overextend, but this gives the song that added impact. All in all - a resounding success, well done to you.

Well done!

The vocal performance has plenty of emotion in it. I especially like the part in the chorus when the harmony comes in. The counter melodies by the guitar are very effective, creating an ominous mood. The drums and other backing instruments are also doing a nice job. I like the melody and chord progression. The overall sound is good. It seems that plenty of time and effort went into the recording process. I highly recommend this song. Well done!

I Walk the Night

Good recording--nicely arranged. I've tried to figure out what it's about--wish I could read the lyrics. Very pleasing vocals and though the song is kind of lengthy--there's enough changes to keep the groove going. Nice hook.

great tune.

I like this tune. great voice and the backing vocals fit in well. good lyrics , the Guitar is a big let down. You need a gutsy driving instrument to help lift the song and to add colour and shade .All in all a good effort i would love to hear you do this again with a hot guitarist or Keyboard player. Keep up the good work.
