Luck in sevens...last year the "Magnificent 7" women's choir on new material for the new album - this year 6 tenors + soprano. It doesn't get any better than Erik Herbst for engineer/producer/musician at Panhandle House Studios Denton, TX and Marc Herbst who runs the ship there. This pseudo-Wagnerian monstrosity of mine is titled "Belle Journee" but it got code named "A Night At The Tiny Opera" during the many choral sessions. At 9 minutes and change, it would be one of the shortest operas no doubt. A bit more work left on it, but she's close to the finish line at this juncture. It will be precariously nestled between two prog rock/pop pieces on the new album but that's just how I roll. -Jon Charles Fortman, composer/producer
