Emergence (Soundtrack) - Review

Thanks again for asking me to review your music. I must say I enjoy the subtleness of this music piece. The piano and the drum setting has a nice build to it. There are several counter melodies that add. The choir gives it a melodic enchantment with the piano. A very pleasant piece to listen to with a great variety of instrumentation. Another very nice piece. Keep up the great work all the best!

very beautiful song

Thank you for giving me the chance to review your song. Wow, what a feeling inside! Lovely made, just a master piece of music production. Those violins go directly to my heart, the melodies are very beautiful, the sadness inside is big and penetrant, the sound of the song is fantastic and those Epic voices sound in the back ground are spectacular, I wish to listen more of it, meanwhile, I wish you all the very best that you deserve, many greetings from Germany, Papa Alfredo from King Mambo

3 notes

This piece starts with three note theme, all eighth notes: an interesting choice, and then it builds a little bit from there. It may be better to avoid the viola or violin stuck on vibrato- it is often unnoticed in midi-land. In recording or making electronic midi music it is important to wake it up and make it come alive - through breath, prhasing, a bit of randomness and imperfection. The string would work if the vibrato varied. Also, a B section that takes us through a contrast or something that has Rhythm and Dynamics and Silences would makes this piece more interesting to me.

A Breath of Fresh Air

Emergence (Soundtrack) is such a refreshingly beautiful piece of music. From the start it pulled me in and took me on a peaceful ride that builds to a climax that gently lets go at the end. It's such a breath of fresh air hearing this piece of music for the first time. I'm looking forward to checking out more music from Susan Garrett.

Emergence

This is beautifully begun with the string introduction, keyboard/piano. It is not often you find a composer anymore who begins softly like a lullabye. The percussion is just the right amount without being overwhelming. This composition would be a great sound track in part for a period drama like Downton Abbey. I found that It reminds me of a flower opening or a whale surfacing the water or a butterfly emerging from the cocoon. It is especially poignant with the singing chorale of heavenly voices. I think you could be a #1 in Classical or New Age Music on the charts. Why not send it to a New York Label and radion for Hits and wait and see?

I Love It

This was cool to listen to, I pictured a few movie scenes that would go well with the orchestration of this soundtrack. This would in my opinion fit an epic film, any war scene, a betrayal, or dramatic situation in a movie. The transitions were stellar with a sort of an storyline to it. I really don't see a downside to this particular composition. I really appreciate the fact that you offered me the opportunity to review your work. Keep it up, great job.

Hi

This is very nice Piece good for Meditations and Relax.. seem to me this is some background music for a Film or Video but good part is that It Stay alone ( no video is needed..not to many Composers are able to do That ).. if I be You I will use Piano little more..send It to the Radio Stations is possible that They will put It in to Rotation..I wish You good Luck with submissions..keep up Good Job.. You make Me Happy this Morning..I Thank You..

Hello

Is always hard to review a soundtrack..after all is an important part of the Film or Video so in order to do that be good to see all..as It stay alone I do not hear anything spectacular is just an average tune I do think that with a video backing will be better..I think that Music Publishers and Radio Stations will agree with me..try to send It to Them and let's see what They will say.Iwish You good luck with Submissions amd I must say this is not Your Best Composition..

Ethereal

Beautiful ambient sounds with moving melodies. A panoramic soundscape encompassing open spaces in the wilderness. Transporting the listener to the beginning of a morning sunrise.

another beautiful song

Hi Susan, another beautiful song. I hope you don’t think I listen to your music just for free therapy. I really like it to. I must admit I came here in a big knot. I feel much better now. I need to loop that song for about 24 minutes. Thank you

Hi

It is hard to say much about Soundtrack.. after all it is a Part of Film / Video and something like that has to be watch if It mach The story line.. so I do not know if It Fit..as it is I do not hear anything Special .. so it will be Very Hard to Pitch something like that to The Radio or Music Publisher.. They are some Soundtracks Composition to stay alone but They are a Fantastic Tunes.. so again.. if I be able to look the Total Product I will gave You a better review ..I wish You good luck with submissions..Good Job..

Emergence

I get the feeling of birth, creation, extending outward with each measure of time. Again Susan has created a piece that is full of emotion, drawing on sounds that capture something visceral and common to us all; wonder, anticipation, yearning. Strings, a chorus of voices and a repetitive underlying piano throughout the entire composition. In some ways I would characterize the sequence as a Celtic hymn, in others a defiant march into the unknown.

Took me straight to a middelage battlefield. Wooooa!

What a lovely but a kid of sadt tune. Reminds me of a middel age melody/ with the simple piano and choir it is a good combination with all the snare/drums. Makes a perfect war-symphony. I really liked this one! It took me straight back to the middelage, this is very good job. Keep up the good work Susan, and tell me if/when you add more melodies. This one was very interesting. -Spexzter

Very nice music for a video game or a movie

This piece starts off very slow and builds up over a minute or two into a much more complex and involving piece. I like the "vocal" effects as well as the lyrical almost "song like" melody. Nicely done.
