The word roostered finds its roots buried in old west lore. Picture a saloon with flickering candlelit sconces, rowdy Faro tables, and wenches sitting in cowboy’s laps making sure their whiskey glasses are always three fingers full. The band Roostered takes the scene above and throws it into a modern day Americana tailspin. Fueled by Tennesee’s favorite son, Jack Daniels, the music of Roostered blends an eclectic mix of Americana, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Blues, Indie, Alternative and Roots music to make a sound as unruly and unusual as an old west saloon on a Saturday night.
From 19th century murder ballads, to the mountains of far west Texas, to the streets of New Orleans, to the confines of 21st century trappings, Roostered finds a way, in each of its songs, to place the listener in a snapshot of times gone by or yet to come.
