Southern BBQAs minimally critical as I like to be of another person's song, I am surprised by the comfortable feelthis song has to the listener. I think it was well done and has a sort of downhome life to it. I enjoyed it and look forward to hearing more from this artist. Keep up the good work, genuine music tends to stand out,and you have captured that here.
A Feet of Musical GumboA definite Louisiana feel, complete with second line groove and chicken-esque guitar lines. It reminded me a bit of Little Feet, in a good way, but with a unique approach to the bass line. One characteristic I enjoyed particularly was the harmonized guitar parts which differed in tone one clean, and one dirty. I personally want more of that, mostly because I am a guitar guy... and a couple stop figures would enhance it, but not to take anything away from a well thought out tribute to a familiar and pleasing style. Bravo.
Funky progressiveI like the chicken pecking sound on the instruments. The lyrics are fun. Sounds like everyone had a fun time playing the music. Vocally a little like a lou Reed style. I like the guitar solo very cool . Keep up the fun stuff a little zydeco going on there to.
Meaty BonesGreat crisp sound on the intro with vibrant southern interpretation - the title to a ‘T’ - then big surprise - Mark Knopfler sound alike on catchy vocals. Very entertaining, I can see the honky think crowd enjoying a good swing.
Sticky FingersQuite a fun, bouncy bluesy groovy tune from the rockin woods of Warwick! Great backbeat, lots of licks, very jammy even a sweet honkytonk piano. Everybody gets a chance to shine on this sauce drippin rack of audible delight. Sign me up for the next Rhode Island Summer Barbecue Jam or maybe your next song could be called Newport Clambaked! Anybody remember a band from around there called Shimmer? RIP the Station Fire Victims West Warwick
Southern BarbecueNice melody and your voice perfect for this track. Nice music you making indeed. I love the vibe and all the instruments put together. Thank you for making such and I'm keeping this one in ma list.
A Touch Of Progressice Rock And RollI enjoyed this track that is more rock anmd roll than progressive rock but then what is the problem with that. Rock and Roll was progressive when it first appeated and it still has more energu than almost all other music!!
Nice southern soundThis song is hot I love the way he plays the piano and the guitar is crazy the drums has a heart beat to them and the lyrics are very catchy I would rock this song and share it love this song
yesSouthern Barbecue review. this is a strictly Rock piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Rock style as I said everything recalls the Rock genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Rock piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

East coast awesomenessVery nice work here - a PLEASURE to listen to! East coast awesomeness as i stated in my review title.. this is due to Galexia also being based in the East Coast; Connecticut - I want to support East Coast-based bands and this is a killer track that Jams a bit and has progressive elements :).
TastyHello Robert - overall a fabulous spontaneous 'Southern Barbecue' Generally I enjoyed the track. Good drum tone, The groove was funky and almost humorous. I could imagine having a few beers and dancing to this in a club. The collaboration between all instruments, particularly the bass, keyboard and electric guitar was very impressive - to get that timing would have taken a lot of skill and effort. Very polished but at the same time not losing its spontaneity. The Guitar solo was out of this world. I've heard some good players in my time, I've been playing for 30 years and so have a keen eye for whats good. Ive seen Clapton, Slash, Angus Young, SteveVai, Eddie VanHalen and some brilliant local guitarists and I have to say you are really up there! That was clean, no mistakes, some fluid runs that gave it that country twang suitable for the Barbecue. I know talent when I see it and you my friend have it - the sky is your limit - I would love to hear you with maybe a bit of distortion or effects - to add some sustain to some of your notes, maybe experiment and vary it a little. Is that a tele or strat your using? If its a strat try a tele if you want that country twang plucking and staccato notes you do so well. Also are you playing with your fingers? I'd suggest this to get more of that twang plucking going. The negatives were few. I felt the vocals were too low in the mix and the song didn't have any changes in it which made it a bit boring coupled with fact that it was too long, I almost fell asleep listening to it. The band is really tight, your guitar playing is really second to none - its the best I've seen in years and I've seen a few. I want to see you at the top and say I knew that guy, and encouraged him to get there! All the best and it was a privilege to listen to your music and write about it. Thank you.
"I'm requesting from those interested in progressive rock""I'm requesting from those interested in progressive rock" I believe I was listening to Kansas City Blues with a underlying Zydeco feel. Your song starts out tight then loosens up on the groove. I couldn't figure out where the bass was wanting to go, this took away from a solid foundation. Piano comes in strong but, does it want to follow the bass or drums? It seems as if you were trying to fit all the lyrics into a confined space. As per recording, it is a good mix on the instruments, although there were moments I had a hard time hearing the vocals. Once a year for the past 30 years, I am on the "Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise" bluescruise . com and this is one of the styles we hear 24/7. Personally, this comes off more as a jam then a polished song.
Good and TightMy review is as a song writer with 60 songs + published : Very Tight, definitely Southern sounding which I like. It has a Texas Swing ? Well produced. Love the lead. Nice beat. I think the piano all the way through without the organ sound would be better. Vocals were a little in the background but clear enough. Robert , I know what it takes to do this and am in no way being negative nor do I claim to be perfect in all I do myself. Keep up the great work ! Dale
