Pookie Marceaux / About
Pookie Marceaux was born and raised in Lake Arthur, LA on Feb. 19, 1956 a true Aquarian. He now resides near Galveston, TX. with his wife Diane of 38 years and has (2) children and (3) grand-children. Growing up and being raised in Louisiana, gave him music opportunities of a lifetime. He stayed true to his roots at a very early age.
Considered one of the better singers in Galveston County, Pookie sings and writes with a Louisiana touch. He taught himself to play guitar and performed at local high school proms, homecoming dances and graduation celebrations. Pookie played in every major night club in Louisiana including, backing up Wayne Toups at the famous Lake Shore Club in Lake Arthur.
Among his strong influences from early on, Wade Richard, Johnny Vee, Kim Roy, Floyd Davy just to name a few paved the way allowing Pookie to take the Big Stage w/Grammy Award Winner, Chubby Carrier, Wayne Toups, Don Rich (Swamp Pop King), Geno Delafose, Whiskey Myers and many more . . . Pookie has great references, Isle of Capri Casino, Delta Downs, several Festivals and many Elite Venues.

Pookie released his first CD entitled “LOVIN’ THE MUSIC’ 2013 and has just released his 2nd CD the long awaited “BON-TON” all music and lyrics are by Pookie Marceaux.
