Love's Voice

About a month ago, we released a new song on N1M, and you were among the first to hear it, because you are a subscriber to our page. It is called, "Love's Voice," and is written and sung by my wife Debi. It is a message for our times. Here in America, we live in a sorely divided country, with two completely different competing narratives about what is actually going on, and people recklessly hurling hateful words at each other. As Christians, we are told not to conform ourselves to the culture, but instead, to listen and follow the voice of Jesus Christ. Jesus also told us, "By this shall all men know you are my disciples: if you have love one to another." (John 13:35) If the voice coming out of your television, or coming from the person across the room, or coming from inside your own head, sounds like love, it is Jesus' voice, to all intents and purposes. If we listen to love's voice, then love will lead us into all truth. If we speak love, especially to other Christians, then we show ourselves to be disciples of Christ. However, if we give in to voices that clearly are not love, or we speak words that are not love, then we show ourselves not to be disciples of Christ, and that non-love will lead us into all lies. It's really that simple. "Love's Voice" has been #1 in Texas for four consecutive weeks, and just reached #2 in the national Top 40. That's not because Debi sings it so well (although she does). She has other songs she sings just as well, if not better. It's not just because it is a pretty song. She has other songs that are just as pretty, or nicer still. The song has remained on the charts like this because it is speaking an important truth for our time, in plain, straightforward English. I want to thank all of you who have listened to it and appreciated it and shared it with your friends. If you haven't heard it yet, I want to encourage you to give it a listen. If you would like to help us spread this message in song, you can easily donate to our ministry at www.sunriseministries.org, by clicking the Donate button at the bottom of any page. We give freely to you, and ask that you give freely in return, no matter how great or small the amount. Peace in Christ, Phil
