Horizon Review

Here is a very long musical piece (more than 13 minutes) but listening to it make me think it is probably a medley of different tracks taken from Horizon album. There is a large variety of sounds and atmospheres. From jazzy saxophone to rock guitar solo and many others !! Hearing this track, I can find the spirit of vintage analog synths compositions and soundscape. May I notice a detail in the part from 5’20 to 5’40 where we hear a sidestick which appears a little bit loud for my taste and doesn’t mix well with the backing track. I like this track and I think Peter has done a very nice work and the Horizon album must be a great moment of electronic music.

Event Horizon Waiting...

I felt like I entered a movie soundtrack when first heard Peter IRock's composition Horizon. I enjoyed the atmosphere and mood created by the synth and whatever else he is playing, all of it was interesting with some erie tones and spaciness. Even with the long play time if you enjoy quality music and its original, instrumental tracks (Yes I enjoy good ones) and no vocals, you will like this. The song moves along nicely and has a jazzy feel at times but then turns a corner and moves into the next phase of the composition. Relaxing and very interesting this song was put together by someone who knows his instrument and has cultivated his vision with creative inspiration for a long time. The drums are solid when they play all the elements are present. I like Horizon because it has many layers to it takes you on a journey if you let it. The tone of the keyboards with long sustaining notes soloing and in harmony too. Also thankfully Horizon offers many twists and turns and kept my interest and picks up pace in different parts of the song choosing interesting time changes and continuity. I am not sure if that a guitar although it sounds like one I know good players and make their keys sound like guitars. Enjoy as I did continuity in a song of this length is what makes it want to be listened to again. Peter IRock has achieved this with Horizon.

HORIZON

Very cool sound's and there is so many unique sounds that really paint a picture of the melodies that you have contructed I really dig the intro and the build-ups throughout the whole track sound's like it deserves to be in a movie or so with the wide range of music and simple tune's this what you would have to fore-see as master piece full of emotion and catchy vibes by listening this has opened me up towards hearing different music and good music as well I am an artist myself a hip-hop artist and I respect the element's of this song

Wirklich ziehmlich gut!

Professionelle Musik, angenehm anzuhören - wie gedacht erinnert sie natürlich ein wenig an "Tangerine Dream". Weiter so!

A classic soundtrack

The beginning remains to the Star Wars theme. Suddenly, we can apreciatte that the author wants to get a soundtrack film´s sound. It´s a good job, we feel that Vangelis, Jarre and similar artists are very present in the melody and arranges. Very good choirs and beautiful piano. Bravo

Retro 80's Soundtrack

A esoteric introduction leads into an 80's jazz motif that reminds the listener of the the "48 Hours" soundtrack with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. The composition processes through another era change that has a Vangelis or Jean Michael Jarre ambience and has a Blade Runner feel to it. The mix is even throughout but is slightly compressed especially at the mid-point when the drums bring in the steady beat groove (Think John Wick Soundtrack). The arrangement is interestingly crafted.
