Playlist now up to 95 with 2 new uploads ~ "Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie" and "Movida Jam". They are songs I played with Sal de Leon and the Centennials and La Movida Band back in the good ol' days. Ruben Molina features the 1st one in his book "Chicano Soul" which features the song "Together" with Jesse Palma on vocals. The Centennials recorded this cover song done by Jay and the Techniques in 1967 when it came out and I joined the band in late '68 on Bass guitar and alto saxophone. Sal and I would switch when I played Jr. Walker's "What Does it Take" on sax and he would play Bass. "Movida Jam" is one of 'many' songs from the 11 albums we had out at the time that I played on my 2 year tour with them. They are for 'streaming' only but you can have an mp3 copy of them or 'any' other songs that are not available 'free' just for being on the mailing list and by replying to this News Letter. There are nearly 3.6k of you getting this mass e-mail at the same time 'all' over the World and here in the States. Tell your friends about it on Fbk and Twitter about it!
I'd like to Welcome all the new mailing list members who have joined in the last 2 weeks and invite you to read a couple of the last Letters posted under this one on the web site to catch up on things going on. I enjoy reading all your emails and comments with my morning coffee and I will reply to each and every one of you in kind and send you all the mp3's you want.
I hope everything went well for your Thanksgiving and didn't fight too much at the table for a turkey leg or politics.
Thank You for making the 'play' counter hit the '4M' mark Waaay before Christmas. I didn't think it'd make it a couple months ago, but BOOM... There It IS!
There are 2 more News Letters coming before the New Year and I have the 5 songs lined up ready to upload to end the Year making it an even 100 with the last one being our Jimi Hendrix version of his WoodStock song "The Star Spangled Banner" to end it.
After that I may be removing one and replacing it with a new song...keeping it at 100 steady for a while. I don't know if N1Music will let me upload anymore after 100. I have lots more in my stack of stuff if they do.
Gonna make it short here so you can check out the 2 songs uploaded today. Thanks and WELCOME, again.

HELLO! again and hope you're having as much fun as I am finding more songs to upload for you to hear. Today I've got a double whammy for you. I'm gonna try to hit the 100 mark by the end of the year to close it out. I've uploaded the Theme song we use to open all our shows with called "Teme'. It's an instrumental song that features guitar effects that we introduced in the early 80's into the Tejano scene. We were the 'rad' band of the ONDA Chicana/Tejano or the Van Halen's of the scene with the biker look. Also, uploaded "Es Amor" (It's Love) featuring Pio Trevino before he left to form his own band called 'Majic'. We'd sometimes played it back to back to open the show with, it all depended on what the crowd mood and event was.
All Movida songs are for streaming only and you can get an mp3 copy of any of them 'free' by replying to this News Letter and asking for as many as you like including "Rock & Roll Down in Texas", just for being on the mailing list. Only mailing list members can get them 'free' so tell your friends to join. There are over 3.5k+ on it World wide.
The last song or #100 is going to be the song we closed all our shows with ~ our Jimi Hendrix version of the "Star Spangled Banner".... so stay tuned, I'm thinking the 28th or 29th of December to close the year.
Thank you for the great numbers on the counters... I'm expecting to see the 4M with this News Letter on the play counter.
Please check out my friend SOMNEA's music and his web site that is listed on the last 2 News Letters and show him you like his music when you get a chance. It also features my grand daughter MJ on the cover art of "Wicked Games" and "Ritual".
Enjoy your Holidays in your own special ways and be Safe, Healthy, and Happy for your Blessings.
PEACE ~ LOVE and ROCK 'n' ROLL!!! also Thank you for Zapatiando with me with my ONDA music

I found and uploaded "Europa" a Santana cover song I did on tour with La Movida Band from Corpus Christi, Texas. It's a studio production of it that I did 'not' have the pleasure of recording on but had a hell of a time playing it 'Live' with them. To me, it was much better doing it Live for the fact that we could improvise at the up tempo part when it kicked in.,,and boy did we jam out and it hardly sounded like the recording. I 'love' improvising and not playing the song the same twice in a row. I seemed to add a lick or two differently here and there when we'd go Live and in the mid '80's...a little high, if you know what I mean. It's something I liked about this band that they weren't 'plastic' and just had to be like the record...they let me cut loose on the rock stuff we did. I met Ricky Smith at a studio I was at helping a friend of mine doing a local show "Chicano Productions" and he mentioned that he was looking for a Bass player to go on the road since his players 'wife' did not want his Bass player going on the road and leaving her and the kids behind...so I jumped on the chance and did a 2 year tour with them, which in time got me inducted into the Texas Tejano ROOTS 'Hall of Fame' and Museum in Alice, Texas. I freaked when they called me to tell me I was nominated but never thought they'd actually induct me...I'm honored to be a 2015 Alumni along with Selena and her husband Chris Perez who also was inducted with me that night.
Well....so much for that ~
I want to thank everyone who have sent me e-mails from 'all' over the World telling me of the songs they like, especially the folks in Santiago, CHILE, and all over the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Thanks to everyone here in the States from Coast to Coast. There are over 3.5k+ members on the mailing list and it's growing everyday!
If you are new to the list, please read the last couple News Letters under this one at the web site to catch up on the goings on and don't forget to hear the song "Wicked Games" by SOMNEA featuring my grand daughter 'MJ' on the cover art...just click on the link along with her Instagram.
Every song on the list is 'free' to download except for a few, but as a mailing list member, I will send you any mp3's of any song 'free' just by replying to this Letter, including "Rock & Roll Down In Texas".
Gotta go for now...see you in 2 weeks again with another song for you to enjoy....Thank YOU for the counter numbers, by the way!
