There are so many things that can be symbolized by "Light". Freedom, Liberty, God, Christ are all things that come to mind when I think of Light. In the case of this song, Light is God, Spirit, Christ. It is Love and Healing. Inspiration comes from many things and from places unseen but felt. The beginning of this song came from a desire to create a way to teach my new voice students how to sing. Singing has so many dimensions, so many essential elements: breathing, breath support, the way to form a word and to carry it with emotion. It so happens that all five of these wonderful new students want to sing Christian music. Here is my song for them and for any and all who love to feel Love and believe in the power of Light to lift us from the darkness of our despair that we may rise and fly. You just have to follow the Light.
