Patience Thebody / About
Born and raised under the Florida Sun, Patience was born into a broken family separated by color with a white mother and a father from Trinidad. Not having a father figure around, Patience grew up the black sheep on the white side of the spectrum. Coming to terms with being different, Patience began to lose themselves in every way possible just find where they belonged. For a majority of the time, it was just Patience and their mother, who suffered from chronic bipolar disorder... Back in 2006, she let that consume her, and nothing was ever the same. Although her suicide attempt was a huge impact on their lives, it did nothing but bring the two closer. And at that time Patience realized that life was to short.
Growing up mixed and the black sheep, Patience found home in all different genres of music. From rock and roll, country, rap, pop, R&B, hip-hop, and everything in between. Patience became highly inspired by the diversity, and within that found a voice of their own... Being the black sheep, Patience used that to the best of their abilities to create an outlet that would project their point of view onto the world in an artistic way.
