About Nicolas Bearde
The voice of Nicolas Bearde has captivated audiences for over 20 years, as a solo artist and as a member of Bobby McFerrin's, renowned vocal ensemble, "Voicestra". His dynamic and engaging live performances and uniquely soulful recorded works, making him one of today's premier male JAZZ vocalists. He maintains a busy touring and performing schedule and between it all, occasionally puts on his "trained actor" hat to book various film and television roles, such as True Crime with Clint Eastwood, and the Monk TV series. In addition to his solo endeavors, Nicolas has recorded and performed with many noted music icons, included among them, grammy-winning pianist, Nat Adderley Jr, drum legend Bernard Purdie, saxophone giant John Handy, vocalist/producer Janis Siegel (Manhattan Transfer) and social activist, Holly Near.
Nicolas created the Right Groove Records label in 1997 in order to launch his solo projects and has since released three popular CD's on that specialty brand. "Crossing the Line", a superb showcase for his songwriting skills and vocal mastery, landed on the Top 10 on British soul charts and garnered glowing reviews on both sides of the Atlantic.
