the big emotion by Mavericks and MISF . I LIKE THIS SOUND . it has a ambeuance / pop . aunting mellow vibes to this music , i like the lyrics too deep emotion rock your soul . deep emotion takes control . a lot of people can relate to this song . plus there is some calm vibes about this music

Yes this is very influenced by Peter Gabriel.. But it has an hypnotic quality musically but not as keen on the vocal. Although it's ok good effort but probably went on a bit too long but then it did build up at least making it more interesting and a worthwhile listen rather than getting too boring. also very retro 70's 80s.

Cool start guys I enjoy the odd/eerie/ cool types of sounds and definitely unique singing style and lyrics. Wasn’t expecting such a unique song. Sounds like you have figured out your own sound for sure. Different from other music I’ve been hearing on here. Nice piano and strings. Enjoying the unique vocal effects. When the rock guitars start on both channels, it changes quiet a bit and goes more into the normal rock pop ballad feel. I feel this subtle, light music, it seems to fly in the quantum atmosphere around me. In the pauses I feel good, I like this melodic sound, the voice drags me into a text (which I don't understand! I'm Italian) that seems to be telling a fairy tale. Beautiful!

Its like Pink Floyd mixed with Cold Play. I dig the atmosphere of the intro of the song. I like the rhythm of the vocal approach of the song. the whole musical composition is well written . its a well written song that has beautiful melodies . The production is raw but gives it character. I give this track a five out of five . I highly recommend this song for anyone that likes the genre

Fun to listen to. a song that reminds me of a symphony with interesting words, heartfelt, grows on you. Better as it goes along, reminds me of 90's pop or One Republic. This song has a lot of potential and can go a long way.

I see you have those references you talked about < some bands , I know well, The song is like a big huge song but it seems you keep it smaller than it can be , production wise there are a lot more potions , this recording has all the ideas ,and can be taken further to fly

I listened to The Big Emo on my modest studio set up whilst perusing MavericksnMisfits song list. This song is from a seriously talented individual. For me, a song should be greater than the sum of its parts and draw you in whilst listening leaving you feeling that you have heard something a little special. The Big Emo does this expertly. Ideas a plenty whilst not being tempted to overplay the parts all to a very high standard. I look forward to listening to more from the catalogue. Criticisms? Mmm, May appeal more to the serious listeners than the casual and possibly a little to clever for its own good. For me though, well worth the 5 stars.

I decided to review this because I liked the song title. It has an interesting song arrangement and its good to see people trying something slightly different and varied. Although there is no main hook in the song repeated plays could become addictive and you won't get bored of it easy because of the multiple things going on. The only downside if any was the track was a bit distorted some of the time so enlisting a decent record producer should be their next port of call to get to the next level.
