"U drive too slow" Review

I was surprisingly pulled into this song. It has a very unique sound and flow. At first I thought how strange this tune is but quickly found the strangeness is what piqued my interest. Very original and delightful to listen to. This would be a good song for the soundtrack of an independent film. And I imagine a claymation video for this track.

U drive too slow mark dobins- here's a unique type of song that stands out from the rest.this song reminds me of early frank kappa I'm having a hard time determining the genra of this song cause it sounds so hard to put a thumb on it, but this is good.i love the instrumentation and production of this piece.the changes take you everywhere and the changes are fantastic.also, the arrangements and tracks being recorded are spot on and well recorded. This is a very good song, and I wish you the best of luck, J Bop

I LIKE THIS SONG, ITS COOL, DIFFERENT, AND VERY CREATIVE!!!

I LIKE THIS SONG, ITS COOL, DIFFERENT, AND VERY CREATIVE!!! I got a good laugh, the words are funny and it reminds me of driving back to high school after lunch, me and my drummer would jam and eat; We were always late getting back to school. The two guitar solos caught my attention too; Different and cool sound; Keep doing it!!!

The best of all genres here!

Right off the bat I liked this band! The comedic lyrics and driving force of the tribal drums in the song "You Drive Too Slow". Very Primus and Frank Zappa like with the lyric style and all the changes in the song. Very Danny Carey Tool like/Ginger Baker Cream like with the drumming style. I hear a lot of Alice In Chains and a little of Days of the New....maybe even a little Tesla too in the guitar style. This is like the best of everything from the 60's all the way through the 90's combined together!

Pure ATTITUDE

Right off the top, I absolutely love the guitar riff! As a guitarist myself I love hearing unique guitar arrangements that I've never heard before. And then what a ride! No holds barred here, just pure originality and aggressiveness. The return to the intro in the middle of the song recaptured my attention once again from the mayhem and bliss of the chorus. Well done Mark!

U drive too slow review

I review songs on almost a daily basis and I hear all types of compositions. But this is really an interestingly unique song. I found myself listening to it a couple times simply to enjoy it! Not certain, but it sounds like you tracked it before finding the vocals that would work. At any rate, it is a wonderful mixture of chaotic rhythms, scattered rap and psychedelic guitar solos all coming together to form one of the most interesting songs I've reviewed this past year. Well done, my friend. Please continue to stretch the borders of rock and write more music that you won't hear on the air right after Taylor Swift! Good luck in the future and keep on writing!

A different style

An interesting opening as a story over background music. Reminds me of Max Webster, a band in Canada. Nice guitar work, in those fast leads! Certainly not "driving too slow" with that! :) Good job!

GOOD SOUND

Buon sound , fra grunge e rock psichedelico , le chitarre non troppo aggressive ma graffianti , gli stacchi di tempo ricordano i DREAM THEATER , buone le risposte fra il cantato e i cori grandi...

u drive to slow

i am listening to this as i type. i love the intro has a lil nugent feel to it.. dennis leary meets led sepplin... some doors... lil bit of Rush.. great mix of sound. The lead guitarist knows what hes doing. up and down the neck like a kid on an ice cream cone. The fender sounds and bend of the floyd rose adds a nice twist at the end of the lines sung by the amazing vocalist. I like this song, very catchy. I want this on my playlist. Parts of it feels like im jamming with the guys in the livingroom when the parnts are not home... the grungy rythm guitars give a black sabbath tone to the song ..i liked this one alot!! i dont like typing but i did all of this while the song played.... very well done guys!!!!

Very Powerful

The same melody can be interpreted softly, melodiously, joyfully, raw, playful, and in many ways sung or played by an instrument. Think of a metal song, a children's song or a romantic song. Of course, this is not a purely compositional aspect, but we must take it into account as it influences notoriously. Thinking about how the melody should sound, even the timbre of it is a very important aspect. Very good song. My congratulations.

Cool song

Cool effect on the intro, 70's stg pepper, Frank Zappa vibes as well.. Great guitar playing. I like this song, all the changes in it makes it exciting to listen to it. The vocals also are cool. Nice job

Nioce!

I like the sound of this it's got a great sound and tonal quality even if the mix is quite raw. But that's me nitpicking. The track itself is really good. I'd love to hear more of your work. One of the parts of the song that really stands out to me is the punchy chorus. It is awesome. There's also some inspiring melodic pieces you've used that I'm finding really grabs me. I'm excited to see where this can go when you come to working on more song. Thanks for sending me the request for the review I think you're gonna do great things.

Driven along

Brooding and angsty this is a track that drives you along hanging on every lyric... the singer spits the words like a fresh kid rock. The beat has a lightly hypnotic feel which keeps the listener engaged . Good stuff , more please ????????????

Progressive...

This song is to me, Progressive Rock. What is Progressive Rock? The answers came from talking about dragons and capes, lengthy and complicated transcriptions, very long songs, excentric playing, and the name of a gentleman named Rick Wakeman. Rick Wakeman said from the musician's side that progressive rock is "not just about breaking the rules, it's about knowing which rules to break first. Now you know why I said this is Progressive Rock.

Very Unique Rock

I like the rawness of this song and a cool concept with the lyrics. Almost sounds like a live recording. The guitar work in the beginning of the song sets the whole song up before the heavy parts. The bass guitar growls and sits in the mix perfect. The story telling in this song is unique because I have not heard a rock song quite like this. Good job on the vocals. The drums would have sounded better for my taste with just a bit more effects other than that it's a great song. Awesome guitar work as well.

Mark dobbins .. you Drive too Slow

This is the sort of track you are not supposed to get straight away it is a mine field of sounds great guitar and expression from all instruments for example the drummer is not a recurring repetitive artist but playing to express and punctuate the clever guitar work also the recording is clean. And a hidden message in the song that a couple years after writing is quite relevant for to day for today this is not musical wall paper but an artist expressing ones self so sit back in the arm chair put some quality head phones and press play at least three times and study what’s going on here .. Good job I like it a musicians type of band .. or person thanks for Sharing Stephen

Nice!

The music is nice, and I like it. I think it does have that down to earth vibe to it. I like this one a lot, and you're on your way to getting an award somewhere . Keep producing beat work like this I love the lead guitar, and keep your touch on it. This is unique and original. I think this is a hit for sure. Nice one! By the music you can tell that you are passionate about your work as every artist should be. Never give up and dreams and bigger things will follow! Maybe we can collab one day! PEACE!
