About Kriz Rogers

Kriz Rogers grew up on the east coast of Sweden, in a small village by the sea three and a half hours drive north of Stockholm. Her dad loved music, especially country music, and always gave her toy instruments for Christmas and for her birthdays. He gave her a real accordion when she was ten and she started learning to play it, but switched to guitar at age 12 when a new music teacher found that Kriz could sing - thinking guitar would be more appropriate to develop her talents along with her singing. The music teacher was right, and at age 13, Kriz made her first public appearance as a country music act at an end of school celebration concert. After that, Kriz was a much sought after entertainer in the area and performed at various functions and festivals with her guitar and her songs. She wrote her first country song at age thirteen.
Between then and today, Kriz has among other appearances, performed on Swedish national TV, been featured on Nashville Broadcasting Network, sung at a radio tribute to Dallas Frazier along with Marty Raybon, Danny and Karen Wheeler, Judy Rodman and David Ball and has had the honor of sharing the stage with Rockabilly greats Rayburn Anthony, Rip Masters and Carl Mann.
On the Nashville label Colt Records, Kriz Rogers has two single releases: “Memoryville”, which is written by the legendary songwriter Glenn Tubb, Ernest Tubb’s nephew, and “Neon Lights and Steel Guitars” which is penned by L. Ratliff (lyrics) and Kriz (music). “Neon Lights And Steel Guitars” is produced by Kriz along with Danny Dunn, who toured playing steel guitar for Charley Pride for many years. Kriz Rogers has also produced and released two albums with 17 of her 300+ original songs in the name “Kriztina Åhs & Countryfied”. The albums are called “Kriztinacountry” (EP) and “Roads” (full length album). Both have been very well received and given great reviews and the songs are being played on radio stations all over the world. The song “Singing My Blues Away” reached #15 on European Country Music Association’s chart 2009 and #1 on the Swedish Närradiolistan and the song “Roads” was on the European distributed Mr. Music’s release 1-2009. In September 2008 she was one of three nominees for the title The Best Swedish Traditional Country Music Artist of the Year.
Since 2013, she is calling Nashville home and enjoy utilizing NSAI’s songwriting services. In October 2015 it earned her a spot on their list of “Writers To Watch”.
