Born in Gold Coast of Senegal, Kaya Manga is the descendant of King Kaya manghan Cisse is first of all a militant artist..He is an all-round artist(singer & songwriter).Under Fela,Spear,Peter tosh KayaManga is talent you need discover. His album,("Histoire oubliee" Forgotten History") 100% world reggae roots, shout at all young people and pay tribute to the"Tirailleurs Senegalese", who are the Senegalese soldiers during the both world wars, a long forgotten story. He calls for a reflection on peace and African unity, KAYAMANGA is spokesman of Africa facing towards a world without hatred or demagogy. The album is extremely varied, a world reggae tune following an AFRO ROOTS or a reggae rocker, African dancehall or also a funk blues. The album "Histoire Oubliee" has been recorded from France to Senegal, with participation of talented traditional African and French musicians. The 14 tunes present lyrics committed to a vision of hope in a variety of languages: Soninke, Lingala, Wolof, Swahili, Bambara, English and French. Further common cliche,"Histoire Oubliee" gives us an opportunity to approach and appreciate this intelligent mix of the roots reggae heritage, straight out of the 1970s, and the traditional musical expression.
