Nice song... smooth melody

Helpful

This is a really nice track. Very easy listening with great vocals and music. I wish it were longer. I'd like to hear what the 'hook' was like. Not really as country as I'm used too.... More 'Easy Listening' though that might change if the hook has more of a country feel to it... All in all... Excellent writing, production and vocals...

"Love Boat"...

Hi Karen, I just listened to your song, "Love Boat" two times. I was really diggin' it. I loved the groove and the production. I loved the vocals too. I WANTED TO HEAR MORE. Was really shocked that it stopped after one minute... caught me by surprise. If it's a work in progress and you wanted feedback, I say, it's GREAT and you should finish it. I would love to hear the complete song. Best to you and your future success. - Richard Danar Music

Love Boat

Hi again Karen. I still love this particular musical arrangement for this song. However, I wouldn't be thinking of looking for, or marketing, this in the country genre aisle. lol I would classify this as maybe a reggae / folk genre. (Definitely reggae) Fantastic singers in this one. I might call this one a keeper. ;) Blessings, Trev.:)

Short nice rythmic song

This short demo makes me definitely wish to hear more, much more. It is so promising and though it is short, it gives me a feeling of a hit song. It has a nice rythm and I can feel the sense of sitting on a boat, maybe just tht love boat you mention in the title of the song. The vocals are nice and perfectly in harmony with the music- What strucks me in a extremely positive way is the soft rythm. Your voice follows the rythm as well and it is a lovely voice, a voice I immediately love and would use in my own compositions. You´ve got something here and I woul love to hear the rest, the development of this song. Is this just a taste, someting you work with .. or is the song possible to buy as a complete song? Thanks for listening, it is one of the most interesting lines of music I have Heard here on n1m. Reviewed by Rick Line, Sweden.

corta

Una canción demasiado corta, pero se va viendo la intención. La voz es buena, quizá tenga demasiado efecto, la instrumentación está bien aunque el nivel de grabación de los instrumentos es demasiado bajo. A song too short, but the intention is seen. The voice is good, maybe it has too much effect, the instrumentation is fine although the recording level of the instruments is too low.

Hi

Why You song is so short..I really think You need to work on it..I like what I;m hearing but this is not a full song and I do not know what will happen next..I never hear in My Life 1 min song try to finish it as it is now has no chance to be taking for consideration by Music Publishers and Radio Stations..seem to me it will be a nice Ballad in My Head ( but I do not know what You will come up )I like to hear it again when You will finish it..I wish You good luck..

Jazzy

A very new age intro with the spacey keyboards and saxophone. The melody is downbeat and sad while the lyric tells of a relationship starting out. The reggae beats are easy to listen to. My suggestions are to paint some more imagery. I felt I was being preached to a little. Also, why so short. I can only hear the first minute of the song. I'm assuming a big chorus was about to begin but I can't be sure. Anyway, good relaxing music for a car ride to work. Thank you for the effort and keep rocking!

Unique track

A really nice tune with a good feel. Liked it right from the start, as I expect from a musician, who has appropriated different music styles. The music starts softly with an distinctive theme on a saxophone accompanied from smooth guitar chords creating a simple space. The accentuated hamond-sound and a soft vocal chorus in the backround makes this arrangemend complete. The music sounds like a melancholic ballad and the feeling of the melody makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. Overall an impressive arrangemend for a self-produced composition, but the track doesn´t sounds as a finished product. Even so, a good job and very talented. Listen to the music and maybe you likewise add it. Let others know your recommendation.

yes

very unusual and nonconformist as a piece. the piece has some assonance with a piece of the 80's of paul young which was called love of the common people which was very nice and was very successful. frankly I do not mind listening to it but the initial sax has something that does not go from the musical point of view, it should definitely be improved or, if anything, replaced with another instrument, otherwise the melody is pleasant and your voice is very pretty

What's next?

Hello! Leslie's cabin is turning slowly! It is well synchronised with the rhythm of the music. I don't really know why, but there is something in this composition that makes me think of "Rasta ". But why cut this composition after a minute's listening? That I do not like at all! One expects to have to listen to a complete composition, with a beginning, a middle and an end... Still!!!! I think it's there making fun of the world.

In love with the "Love Boat"

From the very beginning the song captures you with a Wonderful blend of carefully chosen Chords that lay the foundation for a smooth but simple background melody from the nicely mixed saxophone. Also this is accompanied by a talented ensemble of background vocals that are tightly harmonized to perfection. I particularly appreciated the way the lead vocalist came in strong with a commanding presence which was balanced with a controlled vibrato. All of this was supported by a well mixed beat that gave you the feel of a cross between the Caribbean seas, Reggae Villages and the Islands... It was disappointing, however, to only be able to enjoy one minute of music. I would have really liked to hear where you went on the bridge and the change. As well as, hear more of the melody... But, that is the goal, to whet the appetite and leave them wanting more. My name is Stan Barnes, and I approve this review.

What Happened?

It's a nice groove, lots of horns and a groovy beat. Your song took me to an island paradise on your little "Love Boat" and I was basking in the salty breeze and the glorious sun. It's a nice setting. But something happened, did the recording run out? Is it my computer? I don't know. Something happened. But what was it ? I would work on finishing what you started on. Take me somewhere, back home to the girl or boy I left behind, Into the eyes of an alluring stranger, or out into the bay where I stub my toe, but please, please please, take me somewhere....I didn't want the story to end, but it did. Inspiration starts the song, but hard work finishes it. You can put together a production, but let's have the rest of the story. I know you can do it, it's just hard work. If you get it done, let me know, I'd like to rate it higher, and hear the rest of the story. Best to you.
