The REAL REAL Good Thing

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song - starting off with the intentional beat makes me want to walk with an attitude down the street in a leather jacket. Then Joe start's in with his vocals and I immediately want to break out into Grease-inspired choreography number with 50 of my friends. This is is what great blues is all about for. I want the REAL good thing and you bring it! Well performed and well produced. Rinse Repeat, please and thank you!

Guitar rock

This really is how a good band is supposed to sound these days, i.e. to the point and convincing. I always preferred guitar music to anything else in this world, knowing that whatever you do there is this golden rule: it has to be authentic and actual, not just somebody else's imitation or something. And this is what it is supposed to be: first hand music, from the heart, humane and strikingly positive.Good stuff!

The Real Good Thing review

Love a drum kit that is right in your face! This song has a great easy groove that keeps the listener tapping their foot. This is just good ol' rock n roll. It's so hard to find anymore, so it's refreshing to REAL good things to say about this one. I'm not going to start saying tweak this or that... It's rock and it sounds and feels like it should. Keep them coming guys!

Kick Ass!

Helpful

Hey, hey ya’ll! The first thing I thought is the vocals sounds like Neil Young meets ZZ Top. The music alone reminds me of ZZ Top, so you are in good company! The production is pretty good. I probably wpuld remix the vocal to push them a bit more forward and kill the reverb on them all together, but otherwise the song kicks ass! It is fun rockin song. The arrangement is straight forward and the energy is great, as well as the musicianship! Awesome work people. Keep doin what you do!

Fun and Solid Blues Rocker

Helpful

"The Real Good Thing", by Joe Miranda & The Kings of Texas is a fun, solid, Blues/Rocker. The driving beat keeps you moving along with the song and the slide guitar is a great touch. The vocals are easy to follow and the harmonies are full. This song belongs in everybody's playlist if they like blues rock.

Bop review

Here’s a very cool song, I aware this is a Robert Palmer song called addicted to love and the voice of the black crow’s. The song has a very good backbeat intro starting off the track. Very professional and tight sounding. The production and execution of the instruments are very good. I love that country Steele guitar sound happening throughout the track. The instrumentation and arrangements as well as vocals and a great hook. Very nice song.

The Real Good thing by Joe Miranda and the Kings of Texas.

Helpful

Real Texas Rocker here from Joe Miranda on a track which features Rocky Hill, presumably on guitar. Could be him in the searing slide solo I think. Must be a few years old now as Rocky passed in 2009. Anyway, this is one helluva Texas Road Band by the sound of it, swaggering along like a freight train in full control of its engine which also includes Tommy Shannon from SRV band on drums. Must be a great show to see live even without the special guests. Highly recommended along with the other great tracks bu Joe and the Kings on NM1.

Joe Miranda & The Kings Of Texas - The REAL Good Thing

Upon your very first listen to Joe Miranda & The Kings Of Texas - "The REAL Good Thing", you will no doubt be very impressed by the writing, musicianship and production of this fine piece of music. The artist's influences will be very evident, but regardless - they definitely have a sound that is uniquely theirs. Highly recommended, and looking forward to hearing more from this band!

Good song

This is a great, strong track. Love the structure and catchy chorus. The lead vocalist has a fantastic strong voice that suits this style perfectly and the addition of the backing vocals really helps to elevate the chorus section. Great guitar tone and great solo... hints of SRV in there (to me at least!)... great job!

Addicted to love?

There is a great similarity to a Robert Palmer song here. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it might be probelmatical if this song were to chart. Notwithstanding this, the recording is clean, precise and well-balanced. The performance is excellent with good slide guitar - I can see this going down well in a bar room setting and the band should feel quite proud at having made a very good recording.

Doing somebody else's thang.

This is a really good group of excellent musicians and a good vocalist but this song is not up to their usual high standards. There is not much of a tune to it and is sounds like a copy of lots of other songs. However, I would bet that they draw good crowds at their performances and I wish them well. They would be welcome to any songs that might be up their street from The Prisoners' Songbook or Hometown Paradise on iTunes/Spotify etc.

rock blues

Back to the roots

It's definitely root music in its best term of it, dealing with some authentic rock sound like you'd really want it to sound these days, and it's totally to the point. I mean there have been already so many things happening up to now it makes you think we've tried it all down the line when it comes to guitar-played band thing. All of a sudden you find it's never was anything better than that, i.e. just guitars, vocals and good drumming to it all. What else do you need, people?

Good thing!

Great song! Pure Texas Blues for sure. This song is definitely along the same lines of the Fabulous Thunderbirds or Delbert McClinton. Really professional recording and fabulous mix and sound. This is the real deal. Everything and the Real Good Thing. Slide guitar work is fabulous!!
