Don't Ask For More

I really liked this song instantly. It's a conversation I had with one of my old bosses a few years ago. The double voice vocals are amazing as is the whole production. A beautiful song that hasn't been lost in endless parts but still so simple and easy to relax to. If you give all you've got, sometimes folks just want more and no one needs those people in their lives. A beautiful song that I'm sure will be liked all over the world.

Nice vocals

Nice vocals and double tracking. Vocals have a touch of George Harrison, but not enough to sound like a copy. Relying on the percussion of the guitar is biggest mistake. A jazz style of percussion is needed.

Don't Ask For More

Hello, I reviewing Don't Ask For More in terms of how viable the song is for placement (is it ready to be pitched to an established artist?). The recording overall is pleasant and nicely recoded.... the mix falls down a little in terms of balance and placement between your voice and the instruments which at times is distracting. The song feels a wee bit long and I believe this was mainly due to the prosody of the tune needing some of your attention... The overall feel of the music is cheerful yet the lyrics do not reflect that... In my opinion the lyrics are fighting the musical bed you have created. As a suggestion...if it were me.. I might listen to a couple of songs that you really enjoy and check out how the music and the words work together to create the concept the writer has in mind... I also felt the bridge was thrown away... nice changes and the melody was fine ...but I found myself drifting off because there was no more real information be added... in terms of lyrical development. I hope this was helpful to you in some way... Good Luck and Keep Writing! RW

Great guitar sound

The backbone of the song's the acoustic guitar - as usual with us singer/songwriters. The recording's very properly done, the guitar sounds fresh and dominant as it should be. All the rest, being it the saxophone or the ePiano, is subject to personal taste. I personally would have preferred a pure or somehow naked version of the song, just you and your guitar. Or a complete band doing the song, including drums and bass. The current version seems a bit unbalanced to me.

The first thing that hit me was a hint of Beatels. Lots of nice harmonies and I'm left with feelings of kindness and relaxation. A song of love in my ears, who blissfully speaks to his love for eternal love, faithfulness and security. Well done.

Relaxing and relaxing atmosphere, very good !!

The mix is clean, good balance between voice and music, Double voice well dosed, well chosen choirs, Very beautiful interpretation, Very nice melody Relaxing and relaxing atmosphere, A single negative remark: the volume of the bass and percussion should be slightly increased

nice song

Hi Joe. Nice and Sunny song. Very refreshing on a Sunny day. The chord scheme is nice because you have a good way of changing major chords to minor chords. It makes it sound a bit beatlesy. The lyrics are satisfying. I like the saxophonesolo also. The saxophone was invented by a Belgian, did you know that ? I'm Belgian too. What you should try is to put in a break in the composition, make it a bit more elaborated. But I really dig the fresh, Sunny and gentle mood it puts out. Really curious for more of your music ! my thoughts

You are awesome! As another person noted in their review I too would like to hear a more distinction of your vox in solo form as you did at the end of song.....it was clear and simple. Simple is good! You have a great voice...show it off. No need to always double. Doubling would be fine in the Chorus. The song as far as length is fine. The sax gave it dimension...love it! The background vocals playing off the lead vocal near the end was harder to distinguish the lyric but I see why and where you were heading to add some balance and differences in song. What a terrific melody and storyline... I appreciate you sharing this awesome tune of yours! You have a new fan....thx!!

GOOD GUITAR TONES IN THE INTRO I LIKE THE DOUBLE TRACKING ON THE VOCALS I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE VERSES AND CHORUS MUSICALLY THE SAX IS A NICE TOUCH ADDING AMBIENCE TO THE TRACK WOULD LIKE TO HEAR DRUMS IN THE SONG I THINK THE TRACK WOULD BENEFIT FROM THAT DYNAMIC AND RYTHM ALSO THE LENGTH COULD BE SHORTENED SLIGHTLY TO UNDER 4 MINUTES ITS VERY HARD TO KEEP THE LISTENERS ATTENTION IF YOU ARE NOT ADDING ANYTHING NEW
