Fine choral music

Erik-Peter Mortensen has produced yet another fine choral piece in the sacred tradition entitled Missa Auld Lang Syne: Agnus Dei. The polyphonic ‘a capella’ voices blend and contrast well depending on their role.

I am very touched to hear this musical genre with Erik because it transports me to the Vatican when the masses of the most beautiful time of the year are celebrated, such as Christmas, new year and the new liturgical year, as well as the canonization of a saint or martyr. Excellent music. I would be happy to know that you also feel the same as me and decide to pass it on to your friends. Thank you very much. LMP

Agnus Dei from missa Auld Lang Syne.

Helpful

Dear Erik-Peter, Today I listened to your Agnus Dei from missa Auld Lang Syne. First I have to say that it is very beautiful music. Use of polifonie is very impressive. Barrock style is also useful. I also want to underline the beautiful execution. It is an accapella but sounds like or with a full orchestral accompaniment. I hope that listeners will enjoy it. Go on and on. Good luck.

A sweetness for the ears

It is a beautiful long piece with angels voices and interesting harmonies. A complex piece that draws a singular universe. Congratulations to Erik-Peter Mortensen : it's a complete and subtle composition. And again, it's a sweetness for the ears.

music to my ears

Helpful

I think Erik-Peter Mortensen has a point! The lamb God beautifully entangled in a whirl of angelical voices, a bit of echo or reverberation as like it would sound in a cathedral would even make it better. Anyway I like religious music and repeating music it is an art. Go on with it please. Even if this theme has been done already many times by many composers, when it is done well it is music to my ears. Well done.

Hi

You wrote a Great Part of The Holly Mass.. I listen it 2 times..( I love It... Great Harmony ..is not easy to compose Something like that )..I picture It to be part of Some Grand Celebration in Big Cathedral I think some Classical Music Publisher will take It..but for sure I like to see It as a part of Grand opening of Some Church or as a Concert in The Church..I wish You Good Luck.. God gave You a Great Talent..it was a pleasure to listen...

Beautiful Agnus Dei

A perfect Mass, in style, in writing, in execution. I only have an artistic doubt. Should not art always evolve, always propose new ideas and new points of view? Art changes, as mankind changes. This Mass seems to me a good attempt to remain anchored to a type of man, society and world now definitely changed. I appreciate the piece from a technical point of view, but I can not find innovative ideas here. Ideas are movement, they express and communicate. Only ideas, in fact, distinguish art from fine craftsmanship.
