Pussy Whipped

The production is excellent, along with the performance. The subject matter is interesting and non invading, while it could be given the title. The time length of song is great, and again this could drag on but doesn't, nice! The writing format is new to me and I wonder where the inspiration comes from. Good luck Edward, see where your talent leads, don't stop.

The song length is perfect

Reminds me a bit of brit pop of the eighties. Sound and production is well. I miss some highlights in the song writing, such as a refrain, but if that is what you wanted, then it's OK with me. The song length is perfect for the parts used, unless I miss something special here, such as a third part doing different stuff, then in the rest of the song to later lead back to the final highlight of the song before the end. But if you wanted it that way, I'm cool with it.

Dancey feel

It has a very 80's feel. I like the how the vocals apear in 2 octives and have a harmony in the chorus a bit. I mean this song makes you want to dance. I also like how the chorus goes down to the drums and vocals and adds the harmony. It creates a good separation while not altering the feel. Nice job all around.

Interesting review

The song is interesting in that it has many mixtures and that the music is totally unique and different than what I hear in other songs. It has its originality and I like this song really.. Cheers and best of luck..

Review of pussy whipped

Song has a nice sound and probably should also be in the alternative rock category. The mix in the intro needs a little work the cybols step all over the vocals. The lyrics are a little thin but they work to an extent, if you stretch out the meaning of pussy whipped. The middle eastern scales played in the background arrangement give the song it's background heart and soul. And the break in the middle adds a nice change to song overall it's a good effort

PUSSY WHIPPED

VERY TECHNO SOUNDING AND AN INTERESTING ROBOTIC VOCAL STYLE THE SONG IS WELL PRODUCED AND GOOD CHOICE OF ELECTRO SOUNDS POPPING IN AND OUT OF THE TRACK I THINK THIS GENRE IS MORE ELECTRO TECH ROCK IF SUCH A THING EXISTS ITS GOOD TO SEE ARTISTS PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF WHATS POSSIBLE I LIKE THE LENGTH OF THE SONG TOO NOT REPEATING PHRASES AND OTHER PARTS OF THE SONG THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN COVERED GOOD EFFORT

back to the 80's

these songs take me back to the early time of pop punk music, the Cars, the Ramones, it also takes me back to some of my early four track cassestte recordings, with the sound of the drum machine and effects on the guitar, positive vibe

Song reminiscent of 80's Pop, Rock, New Wave...

This song is very reminiscent of the 80's music scene, with its very Cure'esk, Erasure'esk, Nitzer Ebb, and Missing Persons like beats and vocal styling. It is fairly repetitive with the chorus, but what is great about it, the song is only 2.5 minutes long, so you will not complain about a song that does not end kind of thing. The production is quite good as well, because I can hear everything clearly, and nothing seems to be too loud or anything. Kudos to production, and catchiness of the chorus. Also, the initial start of the song gets you into the mood for this song, because it has very strong bass presence. This reminded me back in the day - I was the metal-head dude with long hair - I hung out with a few cute, new wave chicks (one with black/blue hair; one with pink/blond/white hair; another one with black hair; ALL had their hair very short, with the typical feathery front top of the hair, similar to singer of Flock of Seagulls and Missing Persons). Thanks for letting me go back to one of the best periods in my life!

Too much percussion noise and yet no groove

For me, a song that is built on just one chord needs a groove. Unfortunately, your drum computer doesn't deliver this. On the contrary, there's some percussion noise in here, especially at the beginning, which doesn't support the groove and flow at all. My recommendation, as to most drum computer users out there is: Keep it straight and simple, or even better: Try with a real drummer (and a bassman if needed). That would of course help to get your message out, and I believe you've got something to say.

Great Music

Well, first of all i don't write reviews to earn bilncoins. I love this song, congratulations for your music. I don't know how to classified ( i think that it's good). I'm listening your whole songs while i'm writing. This is the one that i like best, it's not only Rock that you make, but something of your ownh in a special and unique way the other songs don't have, in my opinion, the great feel that Pussy whipped gived to me it's the alternative sound that join with rock in a perfect way. Do you know Daniel Ash? (Bauhaus, Love and rockets...), for me this is a BIG single, i can't stop ear it, i putt it on my favorites, and i will listen, for sure, a lot of times this GREAT SONG. Alternative rock in a linear ( in a good sence ) music that you made. (P.S. if you want ear my songs). I gonna share your song on my face and tw just cause i like it and want to show it to my friends. Thanks for the great moment.

Whip It Real Good

I think when you have a good rock song, it starts off kick-as and then goes from there. That's what I'm enjoying as I push play for Pussy Whipped. The guitar, drums and instrumentation are strong - which is important for a good rock song. So many songs these days lack that and here we go. The vocals, or the spoken vocals portions are weaker for me. When they are modulated in the chorus, that's a fun effect.

Brings be me back.

I was just going into the review sections to earn some quick Blincoins, but what I didn't expect was finding music like this... I've heard it on repeat 3 times already. I love the sound, and the lyric is great, written with a deeper hidden meaning. I love lyrics like that. And the sound is so 80's, really brings me back. I absolutely love it! Thank you for letting me review it, it has been my extreme pleasure. I will probably be hearing alot more of your music, and please, keep surprising me. I really do not mind it. Actually, I started out at a 3.7 rating, but the more I listened to the song, the more I started to like it and understand the lyric sung. So I ended at a 4.6 rating. Well done!

...bound and gagged...

Edward Westbrook brings us Pussy Whipped. An edgy new age throwback to Eurythmics, Soft Cell, and OMD of the 80's and MTV's heyday. There are a lot of great components of this song and for the most part they are well bound to each other. From the listener's perspective, this song is great 80's club music. From a producer's perspective it was just a little flat in the stereo image and the panning throughout the song. I feel that there was a lost opportunity to tighten up the song sonically. Everything seems to be at the same volume with little change in dynamic. An advantage untaken. A little bit more compression on several tracks could have helped with the depth of the mix as well.

US Rocker Vs UK Rock

It sounds like a great mix of different UK rock electronica band like Massive Attack, The Jesus And Mary Chain and other cool stuff from The english rock scene in The 80's and 90's. The Groove and The Flow push The song forward. The mix is good but The Production need some work on vocal. It should be a little more present, louder and clear in The mix. The vocal deserves it. Over all a Great song and it deserves attention. Waiting to here more from Edward Westbrook.
