Dusty Roads & Friends / About
Dusty Roads began playing and writing songs at the tender young age of seven years young. Growing up in the heartland and begining to expand his mentors in the field of Country Music and Blues.
Being raised near East Saint Louis, back in the day it attracted some of the Greats of R&b and Blues. Sneeking out of his house in his 1965 Mustang he would jam with the likes of Albert King and Ike Turner in what they call the after hour clubs where many of the ones we call masters of songwriting went to play.
His journey then took him out West to Los Angeles but while on his way he played with touring rock bands which gave him several new points of view. He was trained for on air radio at KIIS Broadcasting School and went on air at several Los Angeles radio stations.
Then in 1977 he began to work with many leaders in Film and Television Industry as he taught and was the Operations Director at UCLA School of Film and Television. He had the pleasure of working with and being a friend with Willie Dixon and spent time with Merle Haggard and many more than can be noted here.
