Rock’n’Roll spoken here! Happy Holidays! Santa Claus is coming to town and 2016 is coming to a close. It’s been one hell of a year! Next week another Mercury Retrograde starts right before the Winter Solstice. Kind of what you might expect with the way this year has gone. The same day the Mercury Retrograde starts is the same day the Electoral College votes to pick the US President and make the 2016 Election official. Just 37 votes are needed to change and keep Trump out of the White House. Strange things have happened in 2016, can it get any stranger?? NEW NEWS…2016 was a really good year for DownTown Mystic. To start the year, “Way To Know” was released as a single in Europe and went to #1 for 3 weeks. In the spring the DownTown Nashville EP was released at Americana Radio in the US and debuted in the Top 5 Most Added, going on to become DownTown Mystic’s best release at the format to date. In the summer the Rock’nRoll Romantic album was released digitally to rave reviews and the CD was released in the fall at 3 radio formats. Sha-La Music decided to take the CD to 3 radio formats to reach a wider audience for DownTown Mystic. Despite a very crowded and competitive 4th Qtr, the strategy paid off. The CD broke into the AMA Top 100 at #86 with half the stations that took DownTown Nashville to #53, but overall across the 3 formats, Rock’n’Roll Romantic garnered over 30 Adds and has over 60 stations playing it! DownTown Mystic also has the #3 and #7 albums on the AirPlay Direct Global Rock Album Chart. There will definitely be some celebrating!!
