There is a new recording up on N1Music. . . it's been a while . . . this one is for winter, called "Winter Song." We had some unusually cold weather in January, and now it has warmed up a bit . . . but still not quite spring, yet . . .

A song for these present times . . .

This January I had the opportunity to go to the beach with friends, to meet together on a retreat. While there, they helped me record two videos, in the sandy dune hills near the shore. So I wanted to share the video links.

One is a song about 10 years ago, called "Ocean." I hadn't played it in a long time, because originally I'd written a piano accompaniment . . . but I usually mostly play guitar. So anyway, about a year ago I figured out some guitar chords, and so have been singing the song more often . . . and I think the words are a good fit for our current time.

The other video was for a song by Darrell Evans; it is a Christian worship song, and two friends are joining in on it. I was able to get a license from his music publisher to post the video on YouTube.

Here is a song for December :)

It's the time for "once a year" music . . . and I'm enjoying practicing some songs, getting ready to sing at a couple of events. It's good to get out the chord charts and get used to playing some holiday songs again :)
