You will be wowed!

First notes...wow! Bob Dylan type vocals come in. Interesting lyrics, a bit dark. I could easily envision this song being used as part of a movie soundtrack. Great story telling. This is a well together put song. The talent is undeniable. I love how the female vocal comes in on the chorus. The first time I heard it I could have used a more gradual blending. I felt the the transition a bit too rough, but then the second time around it really worked well. Don't know if anything was done different but it just sounded better after the first chorus. This is really one of the better songs on this website overall. Congrats on a job well done. Excellent production!

drums and slide

I like the feel of song and everything but could use slde in one part but not throughout the hole song. I think drums would add more as well. keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your wonderful song.

Evocative

To be honest, I really liked it. The arrangement was really good, there was a good balance of instruments and they all contributed to creating a haunting, evocative atmosphere, which was the perfect complement to the lyrics, so all in all great songwriting. If I have a criticism, it's that over the six minutes the dynamic of the song didn't really change very much, but that's nit picking really. It was a really enjoyable listen, and one that would make be want to check out some of the band's other stuff.

Interesting song lyric. I like the vocal...I do think the pedal steel was a little over powering..I'd like to hear a version with just the acoustic guitar..think it would be more powerful..kind of alternative folk

Unusual and catchy song.

Love the introduction to this song - congratulations on grabbing my attention right away my friends. A real haunting melody with great instrumental backing and depth of sound ... the title is up to the quality of this song. All in all it is a real country feeling to this song which most listeners can relate to without any trouble at all. Keep on a'rollin' out great songs like this one guys. Old Style Protest Song?

This song is almost a throw back to the old Vietnam war protest songs of the 60's. Lyrics which hearken back to the days of Bob Dylan. The mood is so somber and makes you want to listen to the lyrics. The smokey smooth guitar sets the scene for the voice echoing the pains of a troubled life. Certainly wouldn't be called a Rockabilly or Phychobilly song. But its some good listening if you want to sit and smoke a doobie with daises in your girlfriend's hair.

$$$$, < Dogma> & Fuel !!

A slide guitar from heaven leads this wonderfully orchestrated song into a story about life struggles. A blue collar down to earth tune, a journey through multiple individuals told through songwriter perspective is always a great way to grab the music listener's attention. My hat go's off to another great song by Dave, Dyno and the Roadkill Orchestra for sure !!

easy listening.

Love this tune. The vocals are Raw and honest and the backing vocals really help fill it all out.The crying guitar and the little honest fills all suit the song. I can really feel the energy you people are putting into this song. Keep up the good work and i hope to hear your music on major media.

Nice job

I've listened to this a few times now, I love songs that tell a story. Great production with the exception of when the violin comes in for its short solo break the slide guitar grabs my ear instead of the violin, however I am listening on a IPad . Maybe with head phones this wouldn't be the case. That being said great job. I like the gritty voice makes the mood for the story. Thank you for posting this, l will look forward to future posts. A quick disclaimer, I suck at mixing, but this is what I heard.

Road song.

I'd like to play this song in my car over and over again, while driving on a long highway. I'll never get sick of it. And it also sticks in my head when I stop. This sound is just amazing. Lorenzo (clipper).

Wow!!

Intro reminded me of a spaghetti western. wasn't sure what to expect. Then you started singing and I was pulled into the story. Great story, hook line and sinker! Great lyrics☆ Excellent music☆ Vocalist unique and interesting☆ Backing vocals really effective☆ All guitars were played to perfection☆ I like it! I'd buy a ticket to see your show! Best of luck to you all if I had to catagorize you style or compare you to another artist Dylan, / Willie Folk/Country/Blugrass Great Band name too by the way. ~Ã ₩Ź~

Fantastic!

I think song is very unique in a good way, I really like the voice, you sang it with a lot of soul, backing vocals are sweet too, lead guitar is very good but maybe overpowering the rhythm guitar some what. I like the lyrics and the the mood of the song just pulls you in, even though it is a bit long I never felt bored with the song which is a compliment to you. I thought quality of recording was really good, I don't really listen to Rockabilly country but I I really enjoyed your song and I think it is very radio friendly and wish you the best of luck with it.

Waitsian Goodness

Now along comes something unique. First thing to notice was the mix. I like how everything was panned in. The vocal comes in and it is a unique sounding voice. Rather Waits-ian, for the few who know what that means. It's rough, and like Waits, it may be hard for some to jump on right away, but given a chance it fits this song and genre and adds definition to the group's sound on this song. The clean sounding vocalist that comes in with harmonies gives a marked contrast. A middle voice that comes between these two would give it an even fuller sound, but hey, that's nitpicking. The song doesn't just meander, it actually leads up to the "hook" and title of the song and lets you feel like you've been rewarded for listening up to that point and that you have arrived somewhere... in rural Missouri. The song makes you feel you are there with the artist. The creativity, and the doses of originality lead me to give this some bonus nods. So it gets a higher score for a number of reasons. A bit of advice from a production and sonic point of view that has only a small part of my review but more with a view towards making the track more palatable and surprising, would be to pull back the slide guitar sounds that dominate in the left ear (panned more left -unless my headphones are wired backwards) It starts off the track, but it dominates too much throughout the song. Letting the other instruments have more room and backing off a bit would make the slide guitar (or whatever it is sliding) stand out more. This is what i call the "less is more" approach. If it's already recorded and released, oh well, move on. If not - there's a mixing tip. Overall it was a very stand out track, presented very well. Keep up the great work and keep doing what your doing! You got the first 4 plus Star rating I've handed out. Good work!
