Sun is shinning , leaves are turning gold”, instantly taking the listener into the vision of the place. The next line: “Walking along hand in hand” adds the loved one, then a sensation: “Feel the breeze, the autumn sun.” These words build the experience and set up the theme.
Now the lyricist adds another aspect: emotion: “Smile on her face, twinkle in her eye” The loved one is happy. Next, what the listener suspected is confirmed: “I show my love with a kiss.” This is a sweet romantic relationship.
“Pure in our love , feeling as one”
FALLING DEEPER is a refreshing loved song presented in an intimate personal style with sweet pure vocals and peaceful guitar played in broken chords. As the words “Let’s enjoy the afternoon” are sung, the song builds with a nice violin that enhances the emotion that has been set-up and built through the lyrics. A laid back simple percussion carries the song without becoming prominent.
The song continues to give clues into this relationship as the couple goes to their special place that they call “Lover’s Lane” suggesting they have been together awhile and yet, the Singer is falling deeper, deeper and deeper in love.
This song has an important message. The songwriter reminds the listener that there is such a thing as love that is shared, reciprocal and continues to grow. There are very few songs written about this, but it is a fact. It is powerful and it is a challenging theme to pull off. This writer succeeds.
The chorus repeats in my head long after the song ends. The hook presented in the chorus as well as the line: “walking down a country road” play on in my head. In a very real sense, the song continues in my mind, in a song about two people in a beautiful place who are friends in love and FALLING DEEPER.

more Hey Charles, I keep coming back to listen to your songs. They really take me back in time as your voice has elements of greatness to it. A little Roy Orbison a touch of Elvis. Very pretty and pleasant to listen to. Arrangement is perfect and the lyrics are sweet and touching. It must have been written for someone you love dearly. The recording is super clean as always and the marketability is there for commercial use as well. Solid sectional contrast for an acoustic folk song, as good as any could be. Love the acoustic guitar recording, not direct but mic makes for a much more personal listening experience.
Thanks for the listen Charles,

If you believe in what you are doing you can achieve it and the only way to succeed is to do unto others as you would like done to you! The world needs this and we need this,, another Canadian like myself that I enjoyed listening to!
