Yeah...if you are going to do a song that falls in place with the sound that everybody else is doing, then at least do it like Willi Walker did with "My Momma Told Me." The beat caught me right away...something about deep bass that grabs everybody's attention. Lol...but then, the ease of the hook works too. Rap fans like songs they can join in with right away and the hook does that. Lastly, the lyrics...everybody sounded pretty parallel on this track. Like they could even be in a group. As a fellow rap artist, even if I know I may be able to spit hotter bars than my guests at times, I always choose to fall back and allow the end result to just be one hot song. Now, if I'M the guest, I'm a burn that ass if folks ain't coming with it! My guess is, Willi Walker may think along those same lines...hot song.
