Hello Everyone!

Hope you guys are all well. There's a number of exciting things to report regarding Jars of Jam, so here we go!!

If you live locally or plan to visit Central Florida (in the USA) anytime soon, look out for gig dates. We're going to be performing more often than ever before. Currently we're scheduled to play at Delandapalooza on April 9th, and we have TBA dates at Orlando Brewing that I will announce as soon as they are firmed up.

You probably already know we added vocalist Erica Mata to our lineup recently, expanding us to 6 members again. Her addition has been so amazing for our versatility. Not only have I been able to concentrate more on my keyboard playing (as I don't sing nearly as much as I used to), but we're also performing (or planning to perform) songs that I wrote for a female vocalist (like "Contradiction", of Stash, and "It's True", off SQ).

Our guitarist, Elliot Mausner, is also contributing some of his originals to our repertoire. We're planning to host events where we have the ability to play longer sets so we can bring out some songs fans haven't heard for quite some time as well as add some of Elliot's pieces. In fact, I'm toying with the idea of giving our band several names, like "The Mellow Masons" (as in mason jar), so we can put on a different persona). If any of you guys have ideas for variations on the "Jars of Jam" name that we could use, I'd be happy to mention your name when we perform :-)

Finally, our "Jar Set" is coming together. It will be made up of a flash drive with remixed/remastered versions of our first 3 CDs as well as new songs. It's a "Jar Set" because the flash drive is embedded in to a cork that's the top of a small jar. I'll send links to photos once we have our prototype done.

Hi Everyone!

First let me say THANK YOU for being my fans! I admit I haven't been good about keeping all of you up to date on the progress of my music. My life outside of music has been very busy the last 2 years (which is the main reason my last CD was only a 4-song EP), but that is changing for the better!!

Sometime in the future you'll see me drop my name from the title, as we are going to just Jars of Jam. Part of the reason for that is the fact that we're officially adding a female vocalist to the group. Say "hello" to Erica Mata!

I'll still do some of the singing, but I won't be the only front-man (err..front-person?). I've toyed with the idea of having a female vocalist from quite some time, and my last 2 CDs each had songs sung by women ("It's True" and "Contradiction"). We're going to have MUCH more of that going forward. I think it adds a whole new dimension to my music!

I've found that, unintentionally, I've associated each of my CDs with a body part (Head, Eye, Mustache), so I'm going with that theme. The working title for my next CD is Lips-10 (or "listen"). I have 2 songs already written for it. Not sure if I'll have it done by the summer like I usually do, but I'm going to try :-)

I hit a milestone: 100 subscribers!! Actually, 101...but who's counting ;-)

So, recording has commenced for my new CD. I have the raw tracks from a live recording (and video) we did. You can check out some of the songs on my Facebook page ((expired link)).

Hi Everyone,
I might as well get started with my newsletter. First off, I'll be doing a live recording with my band in a couple weeks. Hope to knock off the basic tracks to 4 new songs for my upcoming CD. Also working with a vocalist in Greece who's going to add vocals to another song.

The band and I will also be performing at Delandapalooza (in Deland, FL) in April 5th. Hope to finally get some good weather for one of these festivals so we can play on an outdoor stage. My band's a 6-piece, and we may add an additional vocalist...which would make us 7 (!!).
