About Ultrea

Female fronted hard rock band from the mid-west. Ultrea is a female fronted rock band from Madison, WI. You can expect heavy guitar and drums mixed with harmonic vocals and expressional screams. Member influences range anywhere from Top 40 rock music to post hardcore metal. We try to make music that is dynamic and relatable, on multiple levels, to touch as many lives as possible. This can be heard on our recently released EP: Ultrea "Always Persevere" which was recorded and mastered by our members.
Ultrea means always persevere. This is what we strive to do as a band and as individuals. Our goal is to make music with a positive message. We strive to make our fans feel as we do when we write and perform. We have been compared to bands such as Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, and Skillet. We've opened for bands such as In This Moment, Hed PE, Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Wayland, CAVO, Wicked Wisdom and Two Dollar Grey in some of Southern Wisconsin’s biggest venues.
The band formed in March of 2012. Ultrea is Jen (Lead Vocals/Screams) Greg (Guitar) Kyle (Guitar) Jason (Bass) and Bryan (Drums)
