Signs of Better Times Ahead

Good morning to all 1678 of you awesome folks. It was said of an early revivalist preacher that folks would show up to his meetings just to see the crazy antics that he would pull off while preaching Jesus. We are curious critters; aren't we? lol Sometimes I can't help but wonder if folks have come to see just what kind crazy things I have done next, in respect to the kind of a new songs that I have written. lol In any case, I pray that your hearts are blessed by my offerings in His name. With respect to the title of my bi-weekly shout out, I speak of the things/events that instill hope in our hearts; while still in the throws of the winters of our lives. As I notice the robins and the crows begin to return to our portion of Canada, my guard against the wiles of winter seem to fade away. After all, winter is gone (isn't it?) and the promise of yet another cycle of warmth and sunshine fill my sense of well being. Another event is beginning to unfold in my life. For the past 4 years or so, I have been subject to unexplainable sneezes at the oddest times and places, and a growing sense of tiredness in all of my daily activities. I went for an appointment to a fella who provides live blood analysis. At the end of this appointment, I left the establishment with a renewed sense of hope regarding the condition of my health. It is still to be determined as to whether I am headed out of what has been perceived as a "crimp in my lifestyle," but I have received a renewed sense of hope in any case for which I am very thankful. Sometimes we pray and pray and pray for the Lord to either heal us or direct us to those who can help heal us. Sometimes it appears that He hears us, and heals us, but sometimes it is like we have gotten a busy signal. If you are facing any such a trial today, I trust that you hang in there. Until you receive your healing, please allow the Lord continual opportunities to further develop your relationship with Him, and trust in His timing of events. Regarding my songs, I had a lot of fun with my latest song "You Can Take Him at His Word." We truly can take Him at His written and spoken Word to us, but His care of us is not at all like a McDonald's drive-through. Like a good meal, sometimes it takes a while to develop the perfect ingredients. Then there's the heat which brings out all of the anticipated flavouring of the meal . . . . Mmmmmm I am working on another song called "Church House Blues." It is a bit of a fun poke at some of the things we find distasteful in the churches that we attend. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is just sit back and laugh at ourselves, and the things that we allow to tick us off in the churches that we attend. Sometimes, the answer is to just move on and find the "perfect church" (lol) where we get that sense of being home. May our Lord guide you in your search; but when you find your perfect church, start to serve and give back that marvellous grace that Jesus gave to us. :) Have a most blessed day folks. I look forward to meeting up with each of you sometime; whether here on earth during a tour, or at home in heaven. In any case, may the Lord touch each of you in such a way that you will know just how much He loves you and cares for you, Trev :)
