Joseph Accardi graduated from St. Thomas of Villanova High school in 2003 with honors, as President of the student council. He was then accepted to the University of Toronto for computer science. Joseph started playing and performing music at the age of 10. He plays piano, saxophone, flute, trumpet, clarinets, guitar and he sings. Bram Cayne has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 11. He has studied under many professional drummers, including Toronto greats Barry Romberg and Rick Lazar. He has also learned from such jazz artists as Mike Murley and Mark Eisenman. He is currently attending York University. Bram has performed in various jazz bands, rock bands and pit orchestras (including West Side Story and the Rocky Horror Show) which have helped mold his diverse drumming style.
Darren Ricci began his musical career at the age of 13 when he saved up and bought his first electric bass guitar. Around this time Darren also learned how to play the alto saxophone and joined the Unionville High School Winds Ensemble; a school widely renowned for its Arts York program. There he studied under music teachers Dennis Beck and John Phillips and has played various festivals including the Rocky Mountain Music Festival in Banff Alberta. During this time he also played bass in big band ensembles and jazz combos under the direction of Leon Racine. Although he is primarily self-taught on the bass guitar, Darren has taken some private lessons throughout the years, and continues to strive to be the best musician he can be by listening and learning from others. Since the beginning Darren has played bass in various groups and bands ranging from a wide genre of music including rock, alternative, progressive, funk, and jazz to name a few. Darren has since graduated from Unionville High School and is currently working on finishing his Bachelor of Arts degree in the social science program at the University of Toronto. In his spare time he also plays bass in a jazz trio. |
