About Tomas Grut
My name is Tomas Grut. I'm 30 years old and was born and raised in Odensala, Östersund, Sweden. I am a former basketball player who now focuses on music. My interest in music comes from my family. I play the piano and I sing and have studied to years at Birka Folkhögskola (classical piano). Nowadays music means almost everything to me. I can not imagine living without music and since a few years ago I also write my own songs.
I've had two soloconcerts, one in may 2007 and one in october 2008. Both got good reviews. In the spring of 2008 I was asked to write the score for an Icelandic play which I really enjoyed.
In 2011 my debut album "Emotions - 10 pieces for Piano" was released. One song from the album was featured in a documentary that was shown on swedish television.
In september 2013 my 2nd full length album "Into the Depths" was released!
