At the end of 2020, The Rick Ray Band released it's 35th album, "Acrylic Charlie". Have had some pretty great concerts so far in 2021 and we're hard at work on our 36th album. The Rick Ray Band is a four piece Psychedelic Progressive Hard Rock Fusion band out of the Cleveland Ohio area. They recently released their 35th album and are hard at work at number 36. Dave "Shaggy" Snodgrass - Bass and Vocals, Kip Volans - Drums and Percussion, Rick "Sarge" Schultz - Reeds and Wind Synth, Rick Ray - Guitars and Vocals.

Most likely the last concert of the year for The Rick Ray Band, as we'll be going into the studio after this to record our new album, which has been in the works for "5 1/2 years"...I could write a book on what has kept this album from getting done but it is "finally" being recorded.
TriElement from St. Charles West Virginia, a progressive rock outfit and The Rick Ray Band will be sharing the stage at Wilbert's in downtown Cleveland on Friday November 11th, 2016. Parking for Wilbert's is at Bolivar and East 9th.
Wally Spisak is back on bass in The Rick Ray Band and the band at this point in time is absolutely "on fire". The attatched video is from the Agora, October 1st, 2016 when we opened for King's X. Drew Losch video taped this gig.

The Rick Ray Band performs its last concert of 2015 at Wilbert's, 812 Huron Road, Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Friday, 12/11/15 at 9pm. We will be performing cuts from our upcoming album which we will start recording in January 2016...finally. This album has been in the works for a long time. It'll be good to finally get this recorded and released.

I could write a book about the things that have prevented this album from getting done...but it's moving along nicely now. About The Rick Ray band
The Rick Ray Band is a psychedelic, progressive hard rock fusion and blues band with thought provoking lyrics. Rick wanted to play guitar after seeing the The_Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in '64. He got his first guitar in '66 at the ripe old age of 6 going on 7. In '73 he started the band NEUROTIC which went on until 1985. He then formed the Rick Ray Band (version - 1) which went on until 1989. In 1990 he formed the band Riot Act which lasted until 2000. In 2000 Rick reformed 'The Rick Ray Band' (version - 2) and has been recording and performing with them since then. They've opened for Pat Travers , The Dregs , Robin Trower , Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush , Crack The Sky, Eric Gales Band, The Steve Morse Band , Anvil, Blue Oyster Cult, Y&T, King's X, The Michael Schenker Group, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allan Holdsworth , Kansas , Gary Hoey , Peter Frampton , The Mark Wood Band (members of Trans Siberian Orchestra) , The Average White Band, The Happy Together Tour [Featuring Mark Lindsay, The Grass Roots, Mickey Dolenz, The Buckinghams and Floe and Eddie of the Turtles and Frank Zappa and The Mother Of Inventions] and many more.
