About The Reserve

Nirvana, Foo Fighters, The Vines, and Weezer stuffed in a blender, and set to annihilate; The Reserve is the tasty treat that results, consisting of Jon Babin on vocals and guitar, Jon Birchfield on guitar, and Kyle Biba on drums. Since 2011, The Reserve has been delivering big hooks, edgy lyrics, huge guitars, and slamming drums to the Chicago-land area. “We decided to form a band that has integrity. The three of us being products of the ’90s were used to real rock bands; Bands that didn’t care about their looks, image, or chart ratings. They were there to play honest, real music; actual music, where real musicians played real instruments, recorded to tape, and didn’t use auto tune.” Pulling influences from bands such as The Pixies, The Strokes, Nirvana, Weezer, and Hot Snakes, the band quickly bonded. “When we play together it all comes together naturally. It’s kind of like a Zen moment. It just clicks.” The Reserve is currently working with award-winning producer Chuck Macak to create their third EP, which will release in early 2014 on Pixelhead
