The best rock ballad I've heard in yearsAfter several listen's to Love Me To Death I have come to the conclusion that this is the most beautiful metal ballad that I have heard in quite some time. The progression is superb and the breaks have a dynamic quality that is difficult to find with most metal bands today. The arrangement definitely maintained my interest and the guitar work of Sergei is intense and tastefully done with a tone that is somewhat haunting. The vocals are always superb. Igor's timbre is well suited to this piece of music as well as through their body of published material. His versatility is proven throughout their repertoire. The Perfect Balance has nailed the heck out of it with Love Me To Death. Excellent job guys. Cheers! Noah Ohne
AWESOME!I've reviewed this band before, and WOW, how Awesome is this song! Very strong Singing and Music. Very Professional sound and mix. So tight, so full, very good. Love the power of the Vocals, and also love the Guitar work. Whoever is playing these instruments, is doing a wonderful job. Sounds as good as any professional band I've ever heard. Seems to be the perfect balance of everything. This Band ROCKS! Sincerely Edward Westbrook (Sending good thoughts to Russia)
Loved It!Even though it started a little rough and I had my doubts at first cause I really don't like songs that start slow. This one is like a 'snowball' that starts small and ends with a 'bang'. You got me at the bridge and on to thru the end to give you a '5' rating. You guys nailed it to the wall. The guitar licks at the bridge and at the ending vamp going out....killed me! This song is 'great' and should be a movie sound track somewhere. Maybe like at the ending when the credits are rolling or the beginning of one. Great work coming out of Moscow, Russia. Good Luck in your music adventure.... ~ Gizzmow, from Bonham, Texas!
Strong songA lot of shades of the late 70's/early 80's. Rythm is very tight and the guitar is especially outstanding. In the production I would have liked to have the vocals slightly higher in the mix. I like all of the players...I am assuming these are all live from the sound. At first I was going to say that the song needed backup vocals...but they appeared later. My only real adice would be to separate the tracks a bit better and raise the vocals.
excelent!!!Guys i hear this song and let me tell, this song have a great tone, the guitars the voice, all, really my friends you have great talent in this genre, well dudes like a say before keep the great work and greetings guys
Cool song. Good musicianshipI am normally not one for overly theatrical vocals, but this made me smile. It is a little bit cheesy, but I definitely think this music deserves its time and place. The musicianship was stellar all around. Really loved where the guitar solo went. The song builds well throughout. The whispering at the end is really creepy and was a nice touch.
ReviewLove me to death. What a great power ballad. Solid vocals, powerful chords and great mix. The vocals are solid, the balance of instruments to vocals is good. Making out the lyrics is easy, the delivery of the words is solid. Has the feel of those great 80s power ballads, Poison, Cinderella, a ton of those great old power rock bands, this fits in well. Five stars, two thumbs up, can't wait for more.
mixture of Pink Floyd & Whitesnake: good trygeneraly is a good feeling, but English is still sounding a little germanic even you're guys Russian. Kinda Scorpion-ish influ to me.Will give you my support cause me myself was born in SU & really like your effort very much. Keep rocking
I'm Loving the whole tune!!!Great beginning, sound and chord progressions and performing. The Voice is the forefront element. I Love the whole song!!! I only wish I wrote it myself! Keep up the Fantastic work guys! Musicianship is a 10!!!!!!
Epic power metal! This is very well done! It has that larger than life European sound for sure! I am reminded of such great bands as Blind Guardian and Iced Earth. This song has a great amount of energy as well! Great musicianship abound! Great job guys!
Hauntingly coolI'd have to say the song is pretty cool in a very haunting way. Great job with the production lyrically it made you think and everything about the song was really good, instrumentally and just well written. I like the guitar lead in it and the fact that it didn't sound like anything I've ever heard before great job with the song guys keep it up!! I look forward to hearing more from these guys in the future
Love me to DEATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The Russians have done it again!! The Perfect Balance - Love me to death is powerful in so many ways. This is a deep heart felt song all the way to the core. The musical performance is a 4 star. The vocal performance is a 4 star. The production is a 4 star. The atmosphere is a 4 STAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love me to DeathGreat production ,song writing liked these guys since i first heard them ! Sound like Dream Theater on this track ! ;) all around great music good job guys ! You Rock Check out all theyre tunes epic stuff !
Crushed by the weight of its own greatnessThe Perfect Balance brings us Love me to death, an 80's metal tribute in the vein of Klaus Mine and The Scorpions. The only problem with that is two fold, a) the singer is only singing in the lower register and can't or won't reach for the very heights such a song should achieve and b) the mix is so absolutely crushed there are no dynamics left and when the whole band is in full swing the needles are pinned solid. That is a real shame because based on the chord structure and instrument playing this song could have achieved so much more. From a producer's perspective, whomever produced this should be locked up in the nearest gulag.
great 80ties glamour rockLove me to death is a great track from Russian Federation, melodic, powerful and a great change in dynamics. As usual the quality of the performance, recording and mixing is very high, well balanced. Standing out are the lead vocals but also love the guitar lead. For my personal taste I would have put the snare a bit softer in the mix. While the melodies appear familiar to me and some parts remind me a bit of Pink Floyd, this track all it needs to be interesting until the end. Well done.
