We got together to form The Nosebleed Connection, like survivors from a war, each of us arriving from other bands, each one with their own heavy memories, heroic stories and crazy experiences. After the first line-up changes we started working hard, the idea of creating something concrete and "heavy" began to take shape. On the guitar Glc, on the drums Luca Brasi, Leo on the bass and PO3 and She_mo on the vocals we started practicing on the first six/seven completed songs and in May 2002 the band was invited to play at the festival "Nel Nome del Rock". After one month the first demo, consisting of 4 tracks, (Global, Number two, Like you and I don’t want your love - a Duran Duran's hit single) completely selfproduced, was ready. All the copies were sold during the three day festival that turned out to be the first successful perfomance, that encouraged us to improve and look for new inspirations. After many hours spent playing in our "den" The NBC has changed its nature implementing speed and precision and changing also in terms of composition; the structure of the new songs (I Abuse, Distances, From Hell …) is more complex and compact, the texts are harsh and severe, they don't talk about dreams, they talk about the reality that is not a nice sight. In March 2003 the band revisited and improved upon the demo adding three live songs and a remix. The cd was sent all over receiving good reviews and mostly many contacts with labels, promotional agencies and festivals; the band was so chose in March 2003 from Rock TV, to be part of the 108 bands (4000 bands had applied) performing for the I-Tim Tour 2003, we played in Civitavecchia (Rm) on July 4. The first full-lenght, "Hate for free", iscome out on june 22 of 2004, for the Vacation House Records. The NBC wants to come out, be heard and seen and it doesn't want to be just a premature memory. "there is no time left ... the pressure is growing and we want to grow with it" | | |
