|  |  |  |  |  |  | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | In 2004, on summer ending, Leo Santi met Matteo Cavicchioni. The mix of their stories brought to life “The Flights” rock band.
The group name comes from an Ugo Leonzio’s book: “The magic Flight”, “Galehaut” work for the two companions.
Afterwards four other guys joined the band: Michele Fiore (drums), Massimiliano Argentieri (bass), Andrea Baldi (guitar), Enrico Marsico (percussion).
During the first steps, The Flights took part to various emerging band contests, like Propaganda Lotus Tour and Legend 54 Sound Festival, obtaining extremely good audience and experts responses and being successful in many public performances.
They became the “internal” group of some Milan pubs as “Jump in the past” and “Cantiere Delirio”, improving and refining their live shows.
In 2006, on summer, The Flights were asked for closing the concert season, performing on the Milan IDROPARK stage; in the same year their song “Hopes in a bottle” was broadcasted by many free radio stations of Milan as like Kristal radio, where they granted an interview and presented their live exhibition.
Thanks to another radio station of Milan, Lifegate Radio, The Flights had a fanciful and bizarre performance in a bus, travelling around the town and stopping just in front of universities to permit the people to listen to the music.
The first real tour for the band took place in 2008, on summer. The Flights trod the boards of south of Italy, setting in Salento the headquarters. So they played on a lot of stages spreading the fire and passion of their rock music.
At “Ultrasuoni”, Danilo Bajocchi’s studio, The Flights recorded their first EP, containing songs as “Hopes in a bottle”, “A way in India”, “Deportee” e “Dark town”, remastered by Marco D’Agostino.
The positive feedback by the audience drove the band to produce their first videoclip: “Hopes in a bottle”; currently in the EP, broadcasted by some private televisions and obviously in the net.
Now they are the band of The Batik pub – Milan. | | |
