| | | | | | | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | There’s so many bands. So many songs. Too much music, in fact, to listen to in a lifetime. Music city alone has a plethora of musicians and genres, each begging for more attention than the next. But then in comes DaysApartDaysApart stands separate from the rest because – well because they don’t try to. They do what they were made for and let fate do the rest. Based in Nashville, TN, Nick Hickman and Timmy Sedlock stand as the founding members. Aaron Tanner recently joined the crew to complete the energetic pop/rock act.
“Every day we wake up with a big smile on our faces because we get to do what we love and are called to. We would sacrifice everything we could to be able to share our music with as many people are possible,” shares Nick. History shows that they’re already doing this – working up to 80 hours a week each, the guys have done everything possible to devote the next year fully to music. We’ll be living out of our van, touring the country and playing shows. And when we’re not doing that we’ll be working on the next record.”
But why? Why work 80 hours a week and spend the rest writing and practicing? The answer is evident when speaking to anyone in the band. “I started playing music in junior high,” says Timmy. “I immediately fell in love with it.” Similarly, Nick knew early on in life that creating music was a hobby that he wanted to turn into a lifelong profession.
DaysApart’s passion for the art is contagious. With a mix of influences ranging from Boys Like Girls to Paramore to YellowCard, they strive to create music to share a part of themselves with fans. “The inspiration and encouragement from fans is essential. We write for ourselves, but also to motivate others. We hope that our songs will reach people and change lives.”
Summer 2010 marked the release of the Love & Waiting EP with subsequent live shows supporting the record. 2011 already has new songs just waiting to be played. Plans are underway for a summer tour. To bring DaysApart to your city, simply send an email to daysapartinfo@gmail.com | | |
