In this fast-paced world of quick fixes, easy solutions, and the speediest route to the “Top” in the Music Industry the TF MUSIC GROUP was formed to give upcoming and emerging new artists a “Home Ground” with a foundation based on hard work, discipline, execution, and an actual LOVE and RESPECT for the creative process and its rewards. It was created out of a feeling that a lot of potential artists believe that all they need to compete is a “Lucky BEAT” and they are set, not realizing the depth necessary to truly consistently COMPETE and WIN in this ever changing Industry.

Founded by Lesette Wilson and partner Dexter Ferary in 2014 it became a bi-product of Thatfemale Productions, a Production Company creating and developing music for Artists, Television, and Film. Lesette Wilson, Pianist/Composer/Producer/Arranger comes from a very extensive background performing, writing, arranging, or producing in multiple arenas, with a wide range of various artists such as, Phil Collins, Phillip Bailey (Earth Wind & Fire) Chaka Khan, Angie Stone, Tito Nieves, Najee, Meli’sa Morgan, Tom Browne, Jay Z, P Diddy, Roy Ayers, Amel Larrieux (Groove Theory) Al B Sure, Loose Ends, Stanley Turrentine and others. She has served on tours with a wide range of such artists from Judas Priest, to Billy Ocean, Proyecto Uno, to Martha Reeves & the Vandellas. (See discography) Lesette is also a well-respected Jazz/Funk/Fusion artist with a few solo albums as well. Lesette has also composed and produced music for some commercials, and some small independent films. “I love to play, but what I find most fulfilling is CREATING music on many DIFFERENT levels and genres, and being able to share and PASS that LOVE, PASSION, and DEDICATION to the craft to others”.

Part of TF MUSIC GROUP’s mission was to scout and recruit emerging artists who may need certain skills and abilities that may not ever be spoken about, but can be the determining factor in one’s potential success. “We promote PRODUCTION and SKILL as it relates to each artist. This is NOT “BEATS R US”. My job as a Producer is similar to that of a Coach being able to musically assess your abilities, identify your weaknesses, creating a musical platform and game plan to accentuate their talents, placing the artist hopefully in a position to WIN. Dexter Ferary has that” eye and ears” to identify fresh new talent, researching new and upcoming means and opportunities for those artists.

All of the music created here is written, arranged, produced, mixed, and mastered by Lesette in here “Basement home studio”. We wanted to create that, “home environment”, that makes our artists feel relaxed, comfortable, and free to be themselves for a happy creative element.” Plus it is DIRT CHEAP!! In today’s social media, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat and WHATEVER, the biggest part of creating and developing music is the HUMAN INTERACTION and INSPIRATION it creates. THAT you CAN’T GET online. “I was BLESSED to have so MANY Teachers, and Mentors throughout my journey. We have to be able to pass it down to the younger generation because PASSION for your craft is AGELESS. The ONLY thing that alters that is TIME and CIRCUMSTANCE.”

TF MUSIC GROUP currently is working with a small roster of what we call “Artists in Training”. “These are “my children” as Lesette is lovingly called “Ma”. BA$$MENT BOIZ refers to the collective of young artists we hope to lead. Each of them are working on their projects as well as being trained in their respective talent. (see list and links to their current songs) The roster in Urban/HipHop/R&B right now but we also are developing some Pop/Dance/International acts. We will be eventually seeking a 50/50 Partnership/Label or Distribution situation in the very near future. We are also looking for to Branding, Merchandising, and Marketing situations, as well as doing more Music for Television, Film, Video games, and other Entertainment outlets.

TF MUSIC GROUP hopes to be one of the emerging new companies specializing in developing talent for the next generation of fans, consumers, and artists alike. With the addition to the team of Cheryl “Rell” Walker and her unique set of skills we plan to be a force to be reckoned with. As we say, ‘we are NOT trying to work with a MILLION artists…We are trying to work with a few artists who do MILLIONS....
