Tarantola is a London based Reggae-Gypsy band that comprises 3 energetic musicians who come from different corners of the world - Italy, Brasil and UK and who share their diverse musical influences to bring vibrant releases and energetic performances to international audiences. Mauro Lacandia, the main writer, hailing straight from Puglia, seeks to recreate the legend of “Taranta", (the traditional music from Salento) the spider that bites people and brings them in a state of trance which can only be cured with music, dance and love!
Their shows combine high energy performances, intimate interaction with the crowd together with captivating songs that will not let your feet keep still!
Tarantola presents their first 2021 single release "You Are Not Alone" belongings to a cycle of self-produced Reggae - Pop releases started in 2020 with "Stay Home" (35000 streams) and working on expanding their Spotify playlists placement, influenced by Mellow Mood, Major Lazer, Buju Banton, D. Marley mixed with elements of gypsy and world music! Tarantola has performed in many prestigious venues and festivals such as Koko supporting The Feeder, Camp Bestival, London Remixed Festival, Hootananny (Sold Out) , Arts by the River Festival (Headliners), The Scoop London (Headliners) and started to gain interest by many Reggae Blogs across different countries such as CBN, Nam-Radio, Reggae Life, Sunshine Reggae, Vintage Reggae Cafe and interviewed on RAI nationalTv in 2020!

200 souls from different parts of the world got their creativity together to spread a positive message of hope!
Inspired by this quote of Will Smith: "Your life will become better by making other people’s lives better”, we asked our followers, friends, families to send us a video from their “stay home” experience!
200 people danced, sang, smiled and shared their hope and love with the people who feel lonely in these difficult days! “These people want you to know that someone out there cares!” You are not alone!
This has been one of the most exciting and emotional moment for the Tarantola family!
We are grateful to all of you, but above all, we hope that together we made someone out there feeling loved, less lonely and comforted by 200 hugs! Our positivity can be more contagious than the virus! So let’s watch it, sing it, share it and let our message of hope go “viral”!

Their shows combine elements of circus and a strong sense of theatre together with captivating songs that will not let your feet keep still!
Their EP, "Rogue Rouge Circus", containing four singles, each released monthly, from the 18th of January 2019 to mid-June 2019!
Each song brings to life an episode, an intriguing and provocative story, about the relationships, adventures and mysteries, behind the canvas doors of the circus tent.
You will hear authentic tambourine rhythms grooving with enchanting whistles and violins, reminiscent of the circus, the sea, the tradition, the legend and the mysticism belonging to "brown skin people" of the Mediterranean lands.
Tarantola will be touring in England, Italy, and Spain for the summer of 2019.
