About TagSongZ

TagSongZ is a collaboration of songwriters, Tom O'Gorman and Gerry Capece, so named as TAG (Tom and Gerry) Songs. We are two independent songwriters and have been writing songs since 1986. We had a home studio and created, played, produced all our songs, which were recorded on a Tascam 8 track recorder. The quality was not the best and the time it took to create a master tape was extensive. We had a good ten-year period, from 1988 to 1998, where we sent out cassette tapes to publishers / record companies and received many insightful and encouraging comments. One of our songs in 1991 "Extraordinarily in Love Tonight" was highly praised by producer Neil James but unfortunately could not be used at that time. We did accept a contract with Silverfoot Publishing, in April 1991 for the song, but it was never published. Due to family, work, and health issues, between 1998 -2008 we stopped recording our work. Tom and I are good friends and kept in touch from time to time through this hibernation period. In 2009, TagSongs was re-invented, with a new name TagSongZ. Since 2009, Tom and I have recorded some new songs and re-written many old ones. Our intent has always been to get our songs published. We knew we had talent to perform but not at a level of professionalism needed out in the music industry. Our songs are recorded in a small music room, far from the professional quality, when produced in a music studio, so keep that in mind when listening.

*** Since this Bio was written, my dear friend and songwriting partner, Tom O'Gorman passed away on July 27th, 2011 - Tom was a gifted musician and songwriter and friend - Tom always stated to me "we're gonna be successful and make a lot of money" in which I always laughed and brushed off, as a whimsical fantasy. Tom was a confident individual with a "never say it can't happen" attitude...and so I will try to carry on with his hope and vision. To a small extent, TagSongZ has already been successful because our songs have reached so many more fellow artists and listeners in the last two years, than we ever dreamed of, back when we started.... I will keep your legacy intact and make you proud son...Goodbye dear friend
