About Sugar For Lucy

! Sugar for Lucy was founded in 1993 and celebrate 2023 rich fat rotten 30 years !!!

The brand new Sugar For Lucy - album „TOXIC RADICAL CHANTS“ refers to the Second World War, their despots, as well as protagonists and ways of acting, around the role of the great powers, so also around the comparison to today.
In 2017 were the US presidential elections, where Donald Trump ran for the first time and took office. This is also where the first lines of lyrics and the idea for the new and
ninth SFL album were born. The lyrics, as always with SFL, wrap themselves in metaphor and leave room for listeners to create their own images in their minds.
The album possibly gives insight into our current times and shows, among other things,
that the inability of industrialized mankind to have learned little from the past and to
want to learn, so the unthinkable can always repeat itself.
The high tempos of the songs adapt to our fast-moving times and leave little time to catch one's breath. There are few moments in the album to linger, but accompanying much to tell, so also by the SFL founders Gerhard and Gregor was decided not to include ballads within the new album.

In the course of the creation of the "TOXIC RADICAL CHANTS" album also with "psycho-progthrash metal" a new style of Sugar For Lucy was defined.
Here growl vocals and melodic singing unite with blast beats, deep basses, so heavily
distorted guitars and a difficult arrangement to a work. Hard-Heavy-Fast and right between the ears!

Sugar For Lucy celebrates its 30th anniversary on December 23, 2023 and thus once again stands for consistency and for loyalty to their own music of the harder kind!

The S F L - LIVE concept: Live singing and live - guitar works through THE machine and be complemented by bass and drum playbacks and so its been highlighted in their originality and authenticity. The playbacks has been played and recorded by Gerhard and Gregor and subsequently coordinated, refined and designed.
This decision is in metal section certainly rather rare!

S F L is influenced by many bands they have balls without copying them ...

S F L is alternative metal when you need a genre to put them in ... but check them out by yourself and listen !
