About Steve Montgomery

Steve Montgomery is a solo artist and composer from Nelson BC Canada. Steve’s musical influences vary greatly and include Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Gibbons of ZZTop, Bryan Adams, Stevie-Ray Vaughan and ACDC.

First in 2000, blues rock CD “SkipRock!” was released, then in 2002, a more radio-friendly CD “Alone In A Room” was released, and in 2004, Steve’s third CD was fittingly titled, “HWY 3A”. For 25 years he has continued to rock at gigs along HWY 3A. Having traveled back and forth for years along HWY 3A he still remains true to his community and his rock and blues roots.

In 2005, Steve suffered an extremely painful accident that left him with seven screws in his left shoulder. Doctors told him he would never play the guitar again. Through almost ten years of extensive rehabilitation accompanied by a tenacious attitude, Steve has regained his ability to play and perform again.

Now, in 2015, he releases his best work yet, a power rock CD called, “Shut Up And Rock!!”

Steve plays and produces every track on every song on “Shut Up And Rock!!” As CD Baby founder Derek Sivers once said years ago, “Steve is an incredible One-Man 5 Piece Rock Band!”

Steve does everything: from the songwriting, vocals, instrumentation, audio production, to the digital artwork on the CDs, including his own web design.
