Stephen began playing guitar and saxophone at the age of 14. Throughout his high school years, Stephen played in several different bands but soon decided to take his talent solo, playing the local festivals and bars in and around the Erie PA area. In 1977, Stephen joined forces with other local musicians to form yet another band called Hickory Wind, which toured for 4 years.
After leaving the band, Stephen took a break away from the music scene until the late 80's when he decided to resurface as a solo recording artist doing studio work and producing a bundle of still unheard tracks. Stephen's turning point to the Ambient sound came in 1999 when he found himself sitting at the keyboards and producing what has become his trademark and what others refer to as "Soundscapes for the MInd".
Stephen has become known as a master of Ambient music, inspired by the likes of Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, and Harold Budd. Stephen has been playing and recording for over 30 years and has completed soundtracks for 3 full length movies. He loves creating music that comes from the heart. His music is always recommended for meditation and yoga. |
