A Good Friend....
A Good Friend is very Special. Someone who is there for you when you need them. Someone who makes your day better just by thinking of them. Someone who you share memories and first time adventures with. Someone who was there for you when you were wrong and helped you through it, but then after you got better, told you.... You were wrong... Someone who gives you the truth, no matter how unflattering it is. Someone who shares your thoughts, feelings and dreams. Someone who holds your hand when you are afraid. Someone who laughs at you and with you. Someone who makes you feel better when all else seems as though it's falling apart all around you. Someone who has your back even when you don't know that they are taking care of you. Someone that you can't wait to share the news with, good or bad. Someone who would give you their last to make you happy. Someone who you would do the same for. That's A Good Friend...
Recently A Good Friend passed away. His name is LaRance McClure. He was A Good Friend to so many... I thought that I would make a song for him. Usually I would probably write something that was slow and moving, with a beautiful melodic horn line that would melt you away. Not with LaRance... He told me that his Favorite song was De'JaVu... And when he played it he would pump it up... Which was so beautiful, because he was a DJ and I loved watching him work.
Therefore, I wrote him something that was equally upbeat. To all the friends that knew LaRance and miss him so much. We are a Day closer... Hold On...
