| | | | | | | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | | In its earliest form, Something Shakespeare came to be in 2003 as three friends came together to jam and record in Jaime's basement. It was a very informal affair: three guys with the same desire to record their songs. The third party was a good friend, Landon, (who currently plays in the SLC area as Landon Audio.) With the facilities at hand, they recorded Ahren's Naughty Song and Landon's Nothing to Give. This gathering sparked many more jamming sessions until thetime came for Ahren and Jaime to record an album. By then, Landon was merely a good friend, but not a part of the band. In August of 2005, before their departure to college Ahren and Jaime recorded their first basement album: Summer Project II. Originally, the band name was to be Brothers in Arms, but soon after discovering Brothers in Arms was a Dire Straits album, the duo retreated to their theater roots and chose a more suitable name-- Something Shakespeare. As students of theater, the duo strive to convey character in their songs, tell a few good stories and hope someone's listening. | | |
